Fantastic service, location and general finish of the hotel (scent, shower and breakfast were exceptional).

Every room needs to have an external window. To charge guests in a five-star hotel for a room with no window and, therefore, no natural light is unacceptable. The mirror in the bathroom requires front-facing light because the ceiling light is too weak, and its angle casts shadow over the face, making it difficult to see detail in the mirror (that's quite far away because of the deep basin). This made shaving, grooming and (I imagine), applying make-up challenging. I requested a double room, but what I received was a twin room with two single beds pushed together. This fell short of my expectations, as most people would expect one king-sized bed for a double room.

First time at this hotel, having visited countless others in Crete. I can safely say I've found my holy grail. Everything interesting to do in Chania is of walking distance from this hotel. Even if you do not want to explore the city, staying in the hotel will bring you a sense of peace that you do not get anywhere else.

Parking is a little bit limited, but thankfully there's a hotel valet so there's nothing to worry about.

I don’t usually write reviews, but I felt compelled to share my experience at this hotel. The hotel itself, the room, and the location were all great. However, what truly made my stay exceptional was the staff—simply outstanding! It was honestly the best team I’ve ever encountered at a hotel, and I’ve stayed at many places. Everyone, from the porters and receptionists to the cleaning staff and food servers (and anyone I may have forgotten), was wonderful. They made us feel genuinely welcomed and were always ready to help with anything we needed. If anyone from the hotel is reading this, please know that I truly appreciate all your staff, and I hope you’ll thank them again on my behalf.

When we walked in we received a very warm welcome from the staff. Vasilis from Reception made sure we had a smooth check in. In the meantime, we were given a welcome drink until Vasilis handled the check in. The bartender Andreas is super friendly and nice as well. Together with them was Dimos who parked our car himself, and eventually took us to our room and gave us a detailed tour of the room (considering the high-tech functions in the room) We met Mira and Roula during Breakfast, another two amazing and friendly persons. They both look after the clients super well! The room attendants were also very friendly and welcoming. From the first until the last day, we received service with a smile from literally every staff member. The room was always clean, and whenever you need something, the staff are willing to help. The breakfast was excellent with a choice of buffet and a la carte, both with a good variety. If we visit Chania again, we will for sure visit this hotel once again!!! And to the management: The staff I’ve mentioned above are definitely an asset to your company. Look after them well :)

The gym is a bit small, yet modern.

The breakfast was amazing - we had to do seconds and thirds because the food was so delicious. The decor and details of the hotel was well-thought out - room lights that can be dimmed, full blackout window screens for a good night's sleep, fancy wall decor, designer gym equipment. The location was great too, right at the edge of the city center but situated in a public square so it wasn't too loud. The hotel was so far above our expectations given the price-performance that it possibly ruined our expectations of every other hotel to follow.

Only thing I can think of is that hotel parking was about a 10 minute walk away, and the valet will take some time to go and retrieve your car.

This is a fantastic hotel. It is brand new and has all the modern tech you could imagine in the room - huge and new LG Smart TVs, incredible LED lighting all over the room, and just every little detail perfect. New hotels have a huge advantage, especially when they spared no expense in designing and constructing it. We are traveling around by rental car in Crete for a month and take day trips out of the city during the day. So a hotel for us must have car access and parking, which is why I never pick the cobbled streets of the absolute center but pick a spot on the periphery of the old towns so I can get in and out with the car and park it. This great hotel has the rare combination of both. It is right across the street from the old town and main pedestrian drag - a 6-minute walk from the harbor, bit it has easy car access with valet parking. You drop the car at the door of the hotel, and they park it for you in and out as much as you want. Fantastic breakfast. Nice little gym and dry sauna as well as a small but beautiful bar with a great bartender and mixologist (Andre). Plus, you have the entire old town of Chania right across the street with its endless array of great restaurants, beautiful harbor and amazing walks. They hit the jackpot when the designed this new hotel, and it is an amazing value for a 5 stary hotel basically in the old town. One more thing - the staff knows every inch of Chania Province and gave us great day-trip travel advice and wonderful restaurant recommendations. Shout out to Katerina at the front desk! Great staff.

We had a fantastic stay at The Chania Hotel. Everything looked just as in the photos with high quality facilities and amenities - everything you would need. Our stay was relaxing and comfortable and all staff we interacted with were very friendly and attentive. The hotel is also perfectly located within the old town of Chania and is a good base for exploring further afield. The breakfast included a good range of buffet and a la carte options, all high quality ingredients and served on the beautiful upstairs terrace.

No complaints.

Location was perfect - right on the edge of the old town and far enough from loud nightlife. Sound insulation was good and street noise did not bother our sleep. Vallet parking option allowed us not to worry about parking at all, which is great when you’re a first time visitor. Staff were welcoming in the best Mediterranean traditions and attentive. Breakfast selection was great. Room equipped with everything one may need, including ironing board and iron. The shower cabin is very big and comfortable to use without spilling water out of it.

Concept of the restaurant and bar with the pool must be great idea in the summer with open roof. During our winter visit it looked a bit strange and smell of chlorine was pretty noticeable one evening so we didn’t stay, another evening there was no smell but so the staff, so we also left after almost 15 minutes waiting. Cleaning can be improved: one wall had signs of drink spilled, hair on the floor under the pouf.

Personal and friendly reception in this midtown hotel. Rooms are not too large but very clean and dressed with a sense for detail. Beds and pillows were very comfortable. Excellent breakfast. Swimming pool (indoor) out of order during our one night stay, so if you count on this to be available, better to check first. The hotel is an easy 10' stroll from the lively harbor area. No parking at the hotel but 15€ per day valet service (requiring some patience as it takes some 15-20 minutes to get the car: if you are in a hurry to get to the airport and there are three people waiting before you, that may get you a bit nervous). Recommendable and comfortable hotel.
