The hotel is housed in a beautifully restored 1937 building. The original hand-laid cement tile floors have been preserved, giving each room its own unique charm and character. These historic elements blend seamlessly with the modern interior design, which elegantly combines metal and wood. The high ceilings and large windows create a spacious feel and allow for plenty of natural light, adding to the cozy yet sophisticated atmosphere. The service at this hotel is top-notch. The staff is incredibly engaged, attentive, and always ready to offer helpful recommendations about local attractions. The hotel’s location is excellent – just a short walk from the charming streets of the Old Town, the Venetian Harbor, and Chania’s main attractions. The nearby public parking (with good price) is a great convenience. Mosaic Hotel is a perfect blend of historic charm and modern comfort. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to experience authentic Cretan hospitality in a beautifully designed setting.

Overall, the hotel was great! A few minutes walk from the old town. The room was spacious, and spotlessly clean, with elegant furniture, and a super comfortable bed. The AC in heating mode worked well. The hotel staff was incredibly kind, patient, and helpful with tips and tricks about places to visit. The instructions for late check-in were clear and easy to follow. And to my surprise when I mentioned that the room was dark, a lady at the reception brought me her own small book reading lamp :)

In the evening the room was quite dark, too dark to read even with the main light on. This could be easily fixed by replacing the lightbulbs with stronger ones and investing in some proper reading lights. Beware that those beautiful tiles on the floor are, perhaps unsurprisingly, quite cold, so bring proper slippers or thick socks. Maybe a small carpet might be a good addition to the room. The only major downside of the hotel is the lack of breakfast. Yes, you can order breakfast in a box and there are multiple options catering to all preferences. But you have to do so 12h in advance (7 pm the previous day), which was not easy as we always came back from a road trip late evening. Offering a simple buffet walk-in breakfast would be a game-changer!

The rooms were spacious, comfortable and very clean. High ceilings and balcony made for such a relaxing and enjoyable stay, as did the amenities in the rooms including a small fridge and coffee machine. The location was perfect, being just 5 minutes from the old town and port. Also, the Chania bus station is just 3 minutes away too, so great for transport to the airport, or to other places on the island. The staff are so helpful and friendly, proving lots of local information, whether it be car hire or restaurants or museums, so you can make the most of your stay.

Everything perfect. Much more than we expected. Amazing price, very comfy bed, good location (5 minutes walk to the center), full of amenities (shampoo, body lotion, sleepers, hair dryer, kettle with coffee and tea). Super clean. Nearby there is a laundry shop: they do the laundry and deliver it to the hotel, couldn't be better (Wash it and Deliver it, it's called).

Just to say something..could be some herbal tea (camomile, mint,..) in the room in addition to the black tea and coffee, for bed time (:

Excellent location 10 min from the port by walking and 15 min by car to some very convinient beaches.Beautifully renovated rooms with enough space and options to organise your things. The stuff is helpful and gentle. Overall, I would totally recommend choosing this small hotel for your stay in Chania. Bonus points for being located in close to excellent traditional breakfast options and street food.

Everything was excellent if I had to suggest an improvement it would only be about the Internet connection that seemed a bit unstable.

The staff, room and location are great for a stay in Chania. Would definitely reccomend to anyone planning a trip. The room itself was very clean and very well equipped. Reception were super helpful and gave great suggestions for trips and restaurants.

We found it difficult to find on-street parking but this is the case for all the locals also and isn't any fault of Mosiac, just something to bear in mind. However, there's a public parking lot very close that isn't too expensive and the hotel offers some spaces there also.

Short walk about 5 minutes to center of Chania as well as to the bus station. Elevator in building. Very welcoming and friendly staff. There is an optional breakfast you can order the night before to receive the next morning which is convenient and they deliver to your room. Staff at reception from 8am-9pm. Rooms are clean and beds are made everyday. Towels are changed every other day. Rooms look the same as pictures online. There is a safe and a mini fridge in room. They provide you with a bottle of water and tea and coffee in room.

Because of location of hotel the view from the balcony wasn’t good but that did not bother us. It was nice to have a balcony with a drying rack for clothes.

We had an enjoyable stay at Mosaic. Location-wise the property is centrally located but we always managed to find parking for our rented car within a 3-minute walk of the accommodation. The old town is easily accessible on foot 10 minutes away. The staff were nice but a special mention must go to Irini who always welcomed us with a smile on her face in the morning and went out of her way to help us either with valuable recommendations for our day or to offer amenities like beach towels or an umbrella for our beach days.

The location was excellent, we only stayed 2 nights and needed to be near bus station and town. The rooms were spacey, nice design and comfy. There is a coffee and tea maker but I didn’t use it cause they didn’t have any milk (you have to go downstairs to get it from reception) and the bathroom was nice. The staff were very friendly and attentive (especially the blond lady with long hair). I would definitely stay here again.

No telephone to contact reception, there could have been milk in the fridge (so that people don’t mix them with coffee capsules). The water power is a bit low but I guess that’s the same in all area. From the dual toilet flush, only the smaller one worked and the hairdryer parts did not fit on to the actual hairdryer, they were from another device. All this was reported to the property so they can fix the minor problems.

Normal 3 star hotel

We came in the evening, and we had been told by the receptionist that there not " free spaces on the parking" .The next again it was no parking which is included in the pricing of this hotel. I spent 1 hour Saturday night to search for a free parking outside , finally I found behind the hotel municipality parking for one night price was 7, 70 euro, but this parking close Sunday's!!!!! So I have to weak up at 6 am to move the car!!! Crazy 🤪 hotel is overrated without parking for all guests 🙄 don't deserve pricing, no breakfast, one bed fir sleeping 😴!!
