The room was super clean, very spacious and beautiful. Customer service exceptional, including all of the staff. Good sized fridge with small freezer box in it. Electric kettle and some cups and spoons in the room, no other utensils or kitchen appliances. The hotel was close to everything, just several hundred meters from the old town. I did use the local bus to get to the airport and bus station was approximately 200m away. Local bus to the golden beach (BUS no 21) left just around the corner. Several breakfast places and bakerys in the neighbourhood. Overall very nice stay at the Joy hotel, I would recommend. Quality - price ratio very good.

The stairs to the second floor are steep and long. So be cautious about booking, if you have disabilities. Some traffic noises, but i used earplugs and slept with them very well.

Joy was extremely helpful in rearranging rooms to accommodate our request for a lower floor, accessible room. She even changed our room part way through our stay to give us more space and direct access to a lovely balcony. The hotel is beautiful and nicely decorated. Evenings on our Yellow Room balcony overlooking the vibrant street. Comfortable, quality beds. Well equipped room, with good storage. A communal sitting room we can use. The location is a very nice local area less than ten minutes walk to the harbour - best of both worlds. 15 minute walk to Koum Kapi beach one way (check out the wee beach in front of Machalas Restaurant; they are happy to seat you before and after swimming) and not much further to Nea Chora in the other direction. If you walk down Selinou to get there check out Syntrofia Ovelistirio for gyros at number 25 on your way back!

Good location for the old town and restaurants. Spacious room, staff was friendly and cleaned our room regularly. Very close to the bus station so easy and quick to find arriving with the airport bus.

The air was a bit stuffy on the warmest nights, the Aircon was on the loud side and not very good. We ended up opening the windows wide but this meant the noise from the street could be disturbing on occasion. To get to the nice beaches, e.g. golden beach, from here you need a bus, bus stop is pretty close though. No elevator, so a bit difficult to get our suitcase up.

Very good location, close to the main bus station, old city, supermarkets etc and also walkable distance to the beach. It is an old building with beautiful design. The room had good AC, comfortable bed and clean towels which are changed every 2 days. Friendly staff.

A little noisy for a sensitive person, especially the old refrigerator which we turned it off. The room was a bit dusty on the surfaces when we arrived, otherwise it was pretty clean. Long and steep stairs to the room, but we managed it easily cause we didn’t have a lot of baggage.

It was close to the old town without being in it, which I had wanted. It was near the Bus Station as well, which I wanted, too, for when I needed to catch an airport bus. It was close to the shops, which the real Greek people used, not just tourist shops. It was also quiet. It was also within easy walking distance of the lovely port area. The staff were very kind and very pleasant. It was an old property and had a great shower and a really comfortable bed. The room was spacious with efficient air conditioning. It was good value for money.

There were a lot of steps up to my room.

They welcomed us with a smile and checked us in at least 6 hours before the official check-in time. Really saved the day as the group was tired from an early flight. The energy of the hostess was so positive and the rooms were charming. We loved our stay! Keep doing what you are doing theJoy 👏

This isn't really a negative but it might be a problem for some people. You have to climb some steep stairs to get to the rooms. However, even the less sporty people in the group got used to it fast. Also, I'd put some extra towel hangers in the bathroom ;)

Great location, right next to the old town. We had a big and spacious room with a balcony. Everything was clean and comfortable. Would come back for sure.

Only thing was that bed had two small mattresses put together, that were drifting apart sometimes. Also there was no possibility to put do not disturb sign for the cleaning lady on the door. Otherwise all good.

Well equipped and spacious room. Spacious bathroom. Great location, maybe one of the best in town because you are very close to the harbor and old town area, but still on a quite street. Very close to shops, bars and restaurants. Right at the entrance you'll find a great place with coffee and pastries. 2 mins walk to well known bougatsa place (Iordanis).

Sometimes can be difficult to find a parking space on the nearby streets. Otherwise, the accommodation is great.

Lovely old boutique building. Rooms are upstairs on either side of a beautifully tiled floor leading to a small outside balcony. Rooms also tiled, high ceilings, tons of space, great bathroom, fridge, kettle and great linen. Location was great - out the door turn left to go to port, turn right and right to go to bus station (five minute walk) for bus to airport which cost just 2.50. I had been to Sougia/Paleochora before with rooms at 45 to 60 a night (for basic basic), so this was a completely differently level and super price. Very happy. Kara was also super helpful/kind and spoke great English. Nothing to fault (yes you get street noise, but everyone does who lives in a city street does. I do at home in London). Brilliant. I also had an ear infection from swimming and pharmacy across the road, walked me to an ear doctor around the corner, so was thrilled with the stay and the friendliness and helpful Greek people.

Nothing really. These are beautiful charming rooms, not a hotel! It would be great place for group/family/friends to stay to take several or all the rooms.

The rooms and hotel are elegantly designed. Very modern and beautiful. Updated design and very comfy living space. Even had a hot water kettle and large fridge! Was so excited when we walked in and saw this. The airconditioning was amazing and it was great to have a flushing toilet and fab shower. Everything was designed with intention and the little details made a difference, i.e. the reading lights for each bed and also the electrical outlets, and the fact that you could split the beds or push them together is amazing! The location was great, we walked to everything and you're literally in the center of the city.

Literally everything was AMAZING! Cannot say anything bad about this place. The owner was phenomenal
