Perfect location for whrn you have limited time in Florence as it is close to the station and close to all the attractions of this very beautiful city. I also appreciated that they offer single rooms for solo travelers.

The wifi was not great which if you're a tourist shouldn't really be a problem. I needed to make a few video calls and found it to be unstable and not very strong.

Very conveniently located

The hotel asks cash payment for city tax, which is unexpected, most hotels will allow card payment but this hotel insists cash so it is very inconvenient to prepare cash out!

The roof terrace was a lovely spot to sit with a drink to watch the sun go down. Facilities were clean and breakfast was good.

Difficult to find and whilst it was close to all the main tourist areas the location felt a bit grubby compared to other parts of Florence.

Loved the location so close from arriving at the central station. Walking 10 mins. Great restaurants across the road and a gorgeous bakery. Laundrette a few buildings along the road. Wonderful staff and the breakfast lady was awesome. Only one grumpy mean man at reception. From about 4pm. Unhelpful and unreasonable. We just laughed and figured he's really unhappy. Everyone else was perfect. Loved our check in man so nice. Breakfast included, they were fabulous, great selection just beautiful.

Great location and staff helpful. The rooftop is lovely, especially at night.

It was disappointing that you were not allowed to take food to the rooftop. The hotel supplies drinks but would have been nice to have some cheese and wine. There also isn’t any umbrellas so you can’t use it on hot days until the shade hits one side. Even then there is only 6 chairs on that side. The air conditioning is not allowed to be touched so what it was set on (dry) didn’t really cool the room. The hairdryer in our room cut out after 5 mins so you had to wait 10-15 mins before you could use it again. Lastly the website said kettle in room but there wasn’t and when we asked we were told I was looking at the wrong website of which I pointed out I wasn’t. The facilities list needs to be updated. All the things on the list are not there.

The room was modern and aircon controllable. Bed was comfortable but pillows a bit hard. The staff member was extremely helpful in telling us the way to the parking garage. Security was good and breakfast very adequate cereal and boiled eggs. Bathroom and shower excellent.

Toiletries a bit ordinary. The hotel is in a very busy area close to the station. It was hard to locate with google maps and parking was hard to find. When we got there and into the hotel it was okay but stressful getting there with a car. They had a carpark about 10 minutes but it was expensive. Florence is just crazy busy and hot in June . Best avoided

Our stay at Hotel Cantoria was very pleasant – the location in the very center of Florence made it easy for us to explore the city, and the daily breakfasts were tasty. Special thanks go to the staff, who were helpful, polite, and always available.

Among a few minor inconveniences, we noticed a wardrobe with broken hinges that wouldn’t close properly, a minibar fridge that unfortunately heated drinks instead of cooling them, and an occasional unpleasant sewage smell in the room. However, these are issues that can be easily fixed.

Great location, easy walking distance to the main train station and also into the centre of Florence. Very helpful and friendly staff, and had a good selection of pastries and cold plates for breakfast. The roof terrace is a nice quiet place to sit and admire the view.

There are several different hotels/apartments in the same building so be aware when trying to find the entrance - there is just a small sign outside. Our room was right by reception so we could hear guests speaking and leaving/entering all the time.

This hotel had everything you need after a full day of sightseeing, learning history, and touring monuments - a hot, clean shower with fluffy towels and a comfortable bed. The breakfast had a delicious variety. The best parts were the view from the rooftop and location to all the historical monuments.

Like all over Italy, the walls, doors, and windows are all so thin that we could hear every conversation going on in adjacent rooms, in the hallways, and in the courtyard. Bring melatonin so you can sleep through that! We had also asked the staff to help do something about the mosquitoes and the AC that didn’t work but that didn’t seem to be resolved. So even in October, we were sweating on our 3rd floor room.

We had a wonderful stay! The breakfast was delicious, everything was fresh, and the rooms were extremely clean. The staff was very caring and attentive — especially the receptionists, who were incredibly friendly and helpful. They took the time to explain everything about the city and even showed us all the key spots on the map. The location was also perfect — everything we needed was just a short walk away. Thank you for the excellent service! We truly appreciated our stay.
