We absolutely love staying here. The property is in a fantastic location and offers a stunning view of south bank and the Yarra river.

We stayed in the Family Room. The room was set out a little strange - it is basically a private corridor and two normal rooms that both lock (need card key to enter). The doors to the bedrooms don’t stay open, so we ended up having to keep them open by putting chairs in front of them so they wouldn’t shut. We felt uneasy about letting our seven year old sleep in a big room on his own with the doors closed. Not to mention that he is small and the doors are too heavy for him to open on his own.

Perfect location near the train and tram. The best way to get around in Melb. Breakfast was good, great selection of food, especially for GF and Lactose intolerance.

We were disappointed that our room hadn't been serviced all day. Especially after a fun, busy, long day, all we wanted to do was have a shower and go to bed and watch some Tv. We woke to a "cleaner" entering our room, with no permission, no knocking at the door, just walking straight in. They said they had come to clean? We were horrified that after 9.30 pm at night they were still doing the rooms?. But it didn't seem right as there was no cleaning cart on our floor when we got home earlier. We went to the front desk the next morning and notified them of our disappointment. They apologised, and that was it.

I had to change the dates of my stay last minute. I called the property directly first to change, then was told by reception to call booking.com as they couldn’t do anything. I called booking.com, the person I spoke to was very lovely and helpful, but they were confused as to why the property had directed me to call booking.com to change the days instead of doing it themselves. Luckily everything was able to be fixed, and the service from booking.com was very fast and pleasant

Have stayed here a number of times, and the room etc were as expected. Comfortable and with a decent amount of space. Also quiet, given there are not so many rooms on any floor. No clanging doors etc. Great location, with very easy access to Flinders St Station, trams etc.

The restaurant was disappointing. Have eaten there before and enjoyed the meals, but ate there with friends twice this trip and was disappointed both times. The food was not cooked as requested, and everything we ordered - except some fries - was cold when it got to the table. Given how many other places there are to eat in Melbourne, this is not likely to be much of an issue for people.

The stay was pleasant right from the start with the staff being professional and friendly. The room was clean and had the facilities you could expect at this price point. The hotel was in a convenient location, few minutes walk to the city and stores,.

The aircon was just playing up from time to time. Had to call the reception couple of times to get it going. During the night, it switches on for a couple of minutes and goes off, this repeated through the night. It was like a factory machine starting up slowly, and switches off. The only thing about the stay that annoyed me as I couldn't set the preferred temperature, and the reception had to do it remotely.

The entire hotel smelled amazing! So lovely to walk in each time and be greeted with the lovely scent. Everything was very clean and well maintained. The staff always greeted us with a smile and were happy to answer any questions. The room was very clean and the facilities were high-end. We had dinner in the restaurant on the second night of our stay for my daughter's birthday, and they made it special for her, which was honestly so lovely.

Honestly, there was nothing we didn't like. The room doors were heavy and slammed shut hard, which was jarring at first, but once you got used to it, they were fine, and I can understand why they needed to be that way (security, and ensuring they closed behind a guest etc).

I slept so well. I couldn’t hear the street noise or the police sirens I heard when I stayed at crown. The only thing i could hear was the air from the heating but it was soothing. I loved the location. The breakfast was absolutely delicious for how simple the food was. I dream about it at night and I can’t wait to go back and taste it again. It was the perfect hotel to celebrate my 18th.

Check-in was longer than I expected but it was my fault so it’s alright. In the morning however I checked out the pool and gym and it was kind of disappointing. I’d imagine it would be really awkward with other people in the area since the pool and gym are so small. It’s a given since the hotel is a bit small in size but my main purpose wasn’t to use the gym or the pool so it’s fine.

The location was fabulous! We managed to get a corner room with a view of the river. We walked to the NGV three times while we were there, and we even went for a jog to the Tan one morning. Proximity to the trains,trams and skybus stop. Spacious room for two people, comfy bed good wardrobe space. The pool looked really inviting but we didn't have time to use it. The view from the Restaurant upstairs was beautiful day and night. Nice new rooms.

The first impression is the entry which are stairs- terrible after dragging your luggage to get it up these three stairs, there is a ramp but it is on the side and so unappealing, keep this in mind if you have mobility concerns. They didn't even have one sewing kit! Couldn't help me sew a button on just before a wedding - c'mon those kits are standard issue for a hotel, no one in housekeeping could help either. The coffee machine isn't a La Marzocco (if that is important to you).

I loved the room furnishings - we were only here for one night, but if you were there for a few with more stuff, there were so many small but smart places to put items. E.g., the small shoe rack/slats at the bottom of the wardrobe, the shelves in the bathroom, hooks and towel racks in the bathroom, etc. Also loved the appliances in the room - the iron, kettle, hairdryer, etc. Very functional room. I also didn’t expect a room with a view when booking, and getting one overlooking the Yarra and Southbank was a very very welcome surprise!

The hotel is lovely, its clean and modern and easy to find. The room was comfy and the facilities are fresh and clean. It was way better then we expected it to be. Very impressed. The breakfast they offered was great too

The only thing we didnt like, was that the room clean wasnt being done till really late, we were having the room cleaners come around 4.30-5pm ish which was usually when we were coming back to our room, this meant on some days we went without the beds being done because we didnt want to leave the room while they were ready to do it
