the hotel was in a great location only 5 minutes from town by foot, it was in a quieter location, friendly staff and nice rooms, a good price, we particularly liked the fact there was organic products and for this reason we would deffinately consider booking again,

i would not call it a dislike, everything was great, only minor thing was 1st day pool was freezing but a technician was called out and pool was fine the next day and sauna was a good added bonus too, pool was small and could do with a little more lighting but was also great overall and we made good use of all hotel facility's, i would recommend the hotel to anyone who is visiting the area

There are plenty of positive things to say about this hotel. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, always going the extra mile to assist. The lobby is a welcoming space, perfect for relaxing or working as a mobile office. I especially appreciated their self-service bar, which added a nice touch of convenience. The breakfast buffet was delightful, offering a fresh and diverse selection of pastries and savory options. The location is another standout feature—just a short walk from Central Station and situated right by the Sablon, surrounded by galleries and a variety of excellent restaurants. Overall, this hotel offers great value for money, and I highly recommend it.

Location is excellent, at a slight distance from the tourist masses, but close enough to walk, and peaceful in a small backstreet. Friendly and helpful service. I used the sauna and pool. The latter is more for a luke warm plunge. Swimming is not easy with lots of steps and restricted size, but it was good enough to cool off. Bed is comfortable, and bathroom functional.

I am beginning to hate dynamic pricing. This time, despite early booking the price was 30 euros higher (a couple of months later). All hotels do this so it is not a negative comment just for this hotel. Probably difficult, but there is a need to regularly remove the chalk build-up in the showers. Moore maintenance, but otherwise the hotel begins to feel shabby.

Location is superb, our room was a duplex and the kids loved it, the room was clean, although a bit old and chipped. It kad 2 toilets, but 1 was without sink. The pool, althoufh small and unheated, was always empty, which was great. Saina was excellent.

Air conditioning was on and the room was rather cold, it would not change no matter what. In the night the window could not have been open due to noise on the street. The pool was unheated/cold. Still, we were overall satisfied with our stay.

Welcoming staff - excellent ambassadors for the hotel which is in a quiet road adjacent to an area full of art galleries, antique shops, independent clothes shops, small bars and restaurants. Very interesting, well-designed public area with pleasant outside area. Spacious bedroom with mid-century modern theme. Good sized shower room.

A small wash basin in the toilet for hygiene reasons. The desk section of the mid-century shelving unit needed fixing on other than the original fastenings, to ensure it did not fall off and shock or hurt people.

Lovely hotel, with well-designed furnishings. They provided everything you may need, there is a coffee machine in the room and free tea/coffee in the lobby. The spa pool and sauna was great to relax after a long work day (but be aware that the pool is small, not really suitable to swim in). Great breakfast with plenty of choice.

Not sure I share the taste of some of the design choices - the theme of the decor is tribal art, which does not really fit Brussels and is not very culturally sensitive. But in terms of facilities, I can't fault the place. A bit pricey.

The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. Special mention to Michaella and specially Noemi who insured that we get the extra free bottle of water when we arrive in the evenings and who arranged for our dinner on our last night. Walking distance to most of the sites.

No water on the first morning. No working house phone in our room until the last night. I discovered the house phone was mot plugged in.

Friendly welcoming and helpful staff. Very clean and comfortable room with the daily housekeeping most welcome.. The quietness of the area helped us have restful sleep. The pool and sauna were a nice addition.. Plenty of options at breakfast with the diy waffle maker and the ability to boil your own eggs nice novelties.

There were some flies in the kitchen near to open food including the fruit.

The design and decor of The Standard is amazing, a feast of retro architecture and interiors. We loved our room - a huge super king bed, gorgeous furniture and a playful colour scheme. We were only there for one night but we are looking forward to staying again. The staff were super-helpful and friendly. A shout out to Zlatimir especially who carried our heavy luggage and showed us the amazing views from the roof terrace/bar.

The breakfast was totally yummy. You can make your own waffles! It was great to relax at the Spa area. The room is nicely decorated and employees were very nice and helpful.

Our room had a permanent bad smell. The employees were aware and did their best to help. We left the window open to make it bearable. It would have been nice to get a discount for that, but it wasn't offered.
