Excellent location only 150 meters from main railway station which is also the drop off point for bus 50 from the airport. Everything within walking distance but the hotel also provides a free Basel card and this allows unlimited free transport. The trams run every 2 or 3 minutes. You can also use your Basel card to return to the airport. Hotel staff were very nice and you also have use of sister hotel next door. Breakfast is served on the 8th floor so good views of the city.

There was no AC in our room but we were provided with a fan on asking. It was v hot during our stay 33c. Everything else was good.

Superb location near the main station and a short walk to the sights. Very comfortable bed, good sized room with decent facilities. There was no street noise at night. Breakfast was good but not outstanding. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly.

The door of our room was *very* difficult to open and close - you actually had to slam it shut which I'm sure didn't amuse the other guests day or night. I cannot understand why it wasn't fixed.

The hotel felt like a very good 3 star, not a 4 star (I expected more for a 4-star). The room price was above that of comparable 3-star hotels. Two single beds with huge gap between them, not so good for a married couple. Small flat pillows. Bathroom was small, the toilet very close to the bath, with the toilet paper on the other side - you could stretch and take it. It wasn't terrible by any standard, it is just for the price and a 4-star, I expected a little more.

Great location, lovely staff, spacious room and a window that opened. Tea and coffee in room. Restaurant food excellent.

Hotel was a little shabby in general. Bed mattresses need replacing (dipped in middle), holes in bed linen, towels and net curtains. The paintwork needs touching up, bathroom door badly fitted, spots of mould on grouting between bathroom tiles, flimsy shower attachment over bath with high sides and no handle to grasp when stepping out.

I can say it’s one of the best hotels in the city in terms of value for money. The room was thoughtfully designed with everything a guest might need. The bed was very comfortable, and the location was excellent—just a 2-minute walk from the train station. I also appreciated the self check-in option, which allowed me to arrange everything before arriving. It was a smooth and pleasant experience overall.

The only downside was that the room temperature was a bit low, which made it slightly less comfortable.

Nice big room, bathroom with the bath and free products (good quality), good location near the main train station and airport bus. Got free public transport card from the hotel + discounts in museums, tea and coffee making option, welcome water bottles in the fridge, very good Wifi connection

Room was very warm, had to sleep the window open (traffic noise), TV remote batteries were empty but although we asked, they were never replaced; last night of the stay the room service left our door open for the whole day, single bed (family room with 1 double+ 1 single bed) was not comfortable enough for an adult (my friend later had some back problems)

It is a very-very good variant to visit Basel, for a short or a long stay. Very good position, very good facilities, nice personal, good breakfast, perfect cleanliness. So, in a nut shell formulation: best value for the price!...

Nothing to mention here. Everything was just perfect. Big thanks and hugs to the staff. I would come back in this hotel, any single occasion I will have.

The hotel is very well located near the central station. We arrived early and the young man on reception, who was fascinated by my green tin of Smints which are not available in Switzerland and I happily gave him, went above and beyond to find us a room we could move it to straight away. All the staff were friendly, the breakfast with views over the city was very good and our room was clean and comfortable.

The hotel is located very close to SBB railway station and bus stop #50 from and to EuroAirport. With Basel card provided you can use local transport and having tram stop nearby it is very convenient.

There is built in air conditioning at the room, which you cannot switch off. It is not too heavy or loud, but you still hear it and feel it which could cause a little inconvenience
