My room was already ready when I arrived a bit earlier then check-in time which was very appreciated. Very kind and friendly staff who is happy to tell you where to go to eat, where to see interesting things and give you practical information. The room itself is amazing, the terrace is so calm and cozy to enjoy evening sun on it (the sun is there all day). Beautiful Lemon tree where you can have breakfast under. The breakfast is vegetarian and being served to you, you can always ask for more of any ingredience. There are also two other terraces you can use if you would like to. This room is on floor 2 of 2 and is the only one on that floor. Very comfortable bed. Buss station is very close.

It would be very nice with a bit more light in the bathroom.

Warm welcome with a cup of tea and easy going check in. The 70 year old Lemon Tree is in the middle to the Garden and hold a very calm and special energy. The room is super nice, we had the suite with a private Terrasse and access to the public one. Everything was sparkling clean, staff is super friendly, flexibility of the owner is unique and we felt immediately home. Breakfast is heartfelt delicious, coffee is good and eggs super great. There was even home made cake. All in all way better then expected especially the heart warm welcome and personal connection during the stay - even if was only one night.

Nothing really

Lemon Tree was a delightful place to stay with very attentive staff who really cared about making your experience memorable and comfortable. The breakfasts were very ample with fruit, breads, cheese, yogurt, homemade jams, freshly squeezed juice and eggs made to order. The kitchen was available for free coffee and tea at any time with special beverages also for sale. The bed was very comfortable and the room quiet. There was a spacious rooftop lounge area to enjoy and in the reception area was a beautiful lemon tree to welcome guests. An accompanying Jasmine tree would fill the air with perfume every night! Great location right in the middle of a busy area filled with restaurants, shops and cafes.

The only problem was initially finding the place, no obvious signage and I got dumped a side street by my taxi because the driver couldn’t find the address. I had to ask several people to finally find it which was very frustrating after a long travel day.

The hotel is called lemon tree stay and there’s a big lemon tree in the middle of the yard with lots of lemons. The room is clean and has the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. There’s terrace is quite big and showered in sunshine for most part of the day. There’s a full kitchen on the first floor if you are up for some cooking. Breakfast had decent selection of bread, cheese and fruits, as well as fresh cooked eggs. The staff were very friendly and helpful and gave us lots of recommendations on food and fun even though we only stayed for one night.

There’s no elevator and the stairs are quite narrow so it was quite difficult to get the luggage to the top floor. Walkable but a bit distant from the old town and marines area.

What an amazing stay for two nights! The staff were super accommodating and helpful. We were lucky to get the room on the top floor, which had a private terrace, which was fun but also provided a lot of light in the room. The room was also incredibly quiet, even though in the heart of the city. The top floor has two other terraces open to all guests that were also wonderful. Breakfast was generous and gave us an opportunity to meet other guests. The location is a only two blocks from great restaurants. I would DEFINITELY stay here again.

The bathroom had a squeaky sliding door. No way around it, you will wake your partner if you go to the bathroom during the night.

Wonderful host, could not have been more helpful. Breakfast was excellent too. Good location, we made good use of the roof terrace. Bicycles are available to borrow too. Particularly love Panda the dog who is totally adorable. Otherwise it's a very nice room with it's own mini courtyard.

There was a leak in the ceiling in our room from the floor above which meant that the room felt quite damp and there was a weird smell. As the ceiling is high and painted black we didn't spot the cause until the last day. The hosts are lovely so I am sure something would have been done had we known earlier.

Excellent location, close to the centre of Faro and the bus station whilst also quiet and away from the noise of the main streets. The room was small, but we were there for one night only so that didn’t bother us that much. I didn’t find the bed comfortable - but that’s a question of taste. The staff was lovely - very friendly and gave us excellent dinner recommendations as well as helped store our luggage until we had to leave for the bus station. Breakfast was ok.

It was a bit confusing to find.

Everything! Staff are terrific. Very responsive when we had a small problem in our room. Our room was on the small side, but had everything we needed. The shower was large by standards we’ve experienced in Europe. Breakfast of fruit, yogurt, eggs, bread, jam, freshly squeezed orange juice and coffee was delicious. And included dessert — yummy cake made by a staff member. We were even able OK what can I do? Location was perfect — easy walking distance to everything but in a quiet spot. Would highly recommend!!

Can’t think of anything we didn’t like.

Staff were very helpful on arrival. They stored our luggage until our room was ready, gave us a local map with key places to visit and texted us as soon as the room was ready. Breakfast was comprehensive! Fruit first then Greek yoghurt and muesli, then bread, jams and eggs, then cake! Very nice. Breakfast is in the outdoor area too which was lovely. They arranged a boat trip for us and even lent us an umbrella in case it got too hot on the beach.

Our room (squeezed) was very small but we know that before we got there. It was clean and air conditioned with a great bathroom. ok for a few days but no more than that.

I chose the Lemon Tree because of the lovely breakfast area really appealed to me. It was a beautiful place and the service was top class. We also had access to free tea and coffee at any time and a small charge for a beer, sparkling water. Iza was especially helpful and a real bonus to the Lemon Tree. It was such a quirky place and very cleverly designed with lovely touches and a lovely big balcony as well. Spotlessly clean, breakfast was perfect. We found the owner and staff so helpful and we had dinner at the restaurant next door to Lemon Tree and it was a great choice. I was delighted that the owner of the Lemon Tree has restored this beautiful old house that once belonged to his Grandfather. I was very saddened to see so many beautiful old houses falling into decay. Such a pity as it will probably be replaced with blocks of concrete with no soul. Hopefully, there are other groups or people interested in preserving the architecture of Faro and follow the Lemon Trees example. We both highly recommend The Lemon Tree for a stay in Faro.
