The location is convenient to the parks , shopping, restaurants and city centre, but really quiet. It's hard to find a great, good value motel that isn't on a main road. This one is also set well back from the quiet street and the gardens are lovely. We stayed 2 nights and really enjoyed the space and privacy. Our unit was spotlessly clean, comfortable and newly renovated, while retaining some of its history. The beds were comfy and had blankets as well as doonas, the tv and wifi worked well. Great sound insulation, easy parking and friendly, helpful owners. We would certainly return and recommend it to anyone who values what it has to offer.

Nothing, except the lack of a fan or air conditioner. It seems that the priority in NZ has been heating, rather than cooling. Most motels don't have air con. but now there are more hot days than ever before . Ventilation was good and we were having temperatures 10 degrees hotter than normal. We found it ok but something to consider if it's REALLY HOT.

Quiet, convenient location and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay with our kids. The staff were very friendly and even let our 3 year old feed the fish which she loved. Lovely and clean and it was fantastic having a washing machine full cooking facilities as well as a cot provided for our baby. Will stay definitely here again! :-)

Water pressure could be a bit better but this is probably nitpicking and might have been because we were in the upstairs room - overall we were very happy!

Close to both the city centre and Riccarton mall. Was lovely and quiet despite lots of events on in Christchurch over the weekend.

There wasn't anything that we didn't particularly like but we did find the TV glitchy so didn't end up bothering to watch it. However, wasn't much of an issue as we were too busy getting out and about to watch TV.

The location is set off from noisy main roads but so close to the city. There is a short walk through some beautiful parks, and gardens that are well signposted. You arrive at the edge of the city and two blocks up you are in central area where all your tourists attraction information and buses leave from. The accommodation is excellent. Well maintained and very comfortable. Lots of room and excellent kitchen facilities. The owners had city maps and pointed out quick walk to major shopping sites and to city. This was our last stop and truly amazing.

My wife & I have travelled to Christchurch for the New Zealand Cup Horse Racing Carnival in most recent years, since the Covid Pandemic wained. The Ashleigh Court Motel is tucked away in a leafy, quite suburban street & the only traffic noise we heard was the Wednesday morning Garbage Truck emptying the Garbage & Re-cycle Bins but that noise only lasted a few minutes. Last year we stayed @ a Motel on Riccarton Rd & it was a wee bit noisy. The lack of traffic noise @ The Ashleigh Court Motel is a real blessing, especially if you are a light sleeper. We stayed in a 2 Bedroom Apartment which had a few stairs to gain access, however the apartment had all the facilities that one needs to be self supporting, the apartment even had it's own washing machine. There is plenty of easy access Off-Street Parking so there are no "someone's taken our space" parking hassles. Would stay @ Ashleigh Court again no problems, I even spoke to the Manager regarding the possibility.

With all the serenity one might think all is perfect, however if you do not have a vehicle, you are staying in accommodation that is a 15 minute walk away from the shops @ Riccarton Mall & the Metro Transit Hub. A minor hiccup was the Hot Water Pressure for the apartment's shower, but the peaceful environment makes up for a lack of a little water pressure.

Close to Hagley Park, eating places, Mona Vale house and gardens, bus routes. Quiet. Need to be able to walk distances if no car!

TV channels not easy to access. Loose tap on hot water in kitchen. No handle on one of drawers in bedroom. One half bottle of milk was only supposed to be provided on arrival but we were kindly given a big bottle when we asked .

The location as I had my dog with me it was close to Hagley Park, Riccarton Mall would come and stay again.

Carpet as soon as you walked in looked very new and clean and coming from outside having been for a walk didn’t want to get it dirty so had to leave shoes outside or inside door which would be in the way. Small room but perfectly adequate.

Very quiet location so slept well but close to restaurants, banks and a shopping mall at Riccarton and a beautiful walk through Hagley Park and Botanical Gardens into the city. Lulu was extremely welcoming and helpful. The room had everything we needed and was very clean.

Spacious apartment with everything we required. The rooms, bed linen and towels were all very clean. The location was quiet generally, only broken now and again by a train whistle. :-) We were meeting friends in the evening so did not use the kitchen facilities extensively. We were offered milk on our arrival for tea and coffee and this was certainly welcome at breakfast.

The motel is in a quiet, residential area, close to the airport. You can walk into the city across Hagley Park, about 45 minutes. There are many eateries a short walk away on Riccarton Road. Our room was large & well equipped. The king size bed was very comfortable. Plenty of pillows & the most comfortable lounge chairs we had on our trip.
