Great price, good location, very kind and helpful staff, nice bar.

Pity that room didn’t have any table for small things or jacket hanger. Some people were loud almost whole night which was annoying.

I liked the style of the main hall (bar, breakfast, games, sitting area), there were good vibes, this place definitely isn't boring. I stayed in the female only dorm and it was a good choice - the price was a bit higher than for the mixed ones - but the female only was a quieter place. Clean room, I also liked that there were plenty of spacious lockers (bring your own luggage padlock/number lock!). The cleaning staff did regularly take care of the rooms and bathroom/toilettes. Some people weren't clean - I mean the guests - so keeping the areas clean was a challenge sometimes... At the reception very nice staff. Overall a pleasant experience. Excellent location. Only 6-minute walk to the British museum, 8-minute walk to the Regent's Canal.

Some of the guests were loud, partied till 2-3am... well, that's not exactly something the Generator can influence. But there was enough staff present to feel safe. There were some issues with unclean areas and maintenance issues (I had to move to a different room mid-stay) but thinking at the numbers/amount of people staying there every night, no wonder there are always some issues the staff needs promptly to react to. For me, the positive clearly outweighed the negative

Everything was kept very clean all the time (which is the most important thing to me). The bed is comfortable, as well as the pillow they give you. Each bed has one drawer that can be closed with a locker, which fits definitely a lot of things, it was very comfortable to keep all of my things (they were a bunch). The room also has a sink, which is useful so you don’t have to go to the toilet for every single thing. The staff is very nice, friendly and available for anything you might need. The food at the bar is great.

Just small things because overall it was great, but the sink in the room could have been cleaned more often, and the showers are pretty tiny: there is no space to keep you things inside, just a little hanger outside which could barely fit my towels, I had to use the hanger of another shower to put my clothes. The room I was in was also pretty tiny, definitely no space if you wanna just hang there for some time during the day.

The staff here are part of what makes this hybrid hostel/hotel so comfortable. The chef makes an awesome Full English. Any problem that might arise is taken care of. The sports area has good football. Kids and families can play pool, arcade games or shuffleboard, or the more competitive can spar at shuffleboard. The pub atmosphere is relaxed and fun, not aggressive. The only addition this London location could make is a morning yoga like in Madrid. It is o e of the best hybrid hostels in London. Three times I have stayed here, each was a nice experience!

Elevator can sometimes be slow but nonetheless happy it was here

The installations were better than expected, conveniently placed close to the underground transportation for within the city, the Euston station in case you need to take a train, and very close to the British museum; laundry service helped a lot, bar with food if needed, breakfast buffet helped planned my day better, best location to stay in London with affordable price

My stay happened during what it seemed to be a school trip or something of the kind and it was very hard to take advantage of the amenities, I made it work as best as I could, some irresponsible person triggered the smoke alarm one night and woke us up at 5am

The property is in a great location, for a hostel there are lots of things to do if that’s what you’re looking for yet as its so big it’s not really noisy when you’re trying to sleep. It’s really good value and does exactly what it says on the tin! Caters for all ages and for all, from solo travellers to groups. At the end of the day it’s a hostel and I think really good value.

Two things that personally I found slightly inconvenient more than anything - there aren’t any facilities to make your own food yet I can understand with the hostel being so affordable they need to make money somehow - the locker storage I personally thought was expensive and I had to check out at 6 but leave my luggage and it meant I had to pay from 6 not from 10 which was the check out time. So I needed 8 hours in total.

Very decent hostel. Likely the best in London, especially for the price. The staff were all really lovely. :)

The menu in the restaurant was good, but could have more variety. I don't eat fried food (chips as the British say ☺️) so a soup option would have been nice.

Great location. Comfortable beds. Big lockers under the bed and sink in the room. Good atmosphere.

No kitchen to make your own food or heat things up. No water refill options. Only 2 USB A ports and no normal plug near the bed so charging other devices was a challenge. Had to share 1 bathroom with just 4 showers with 2 floors and I had to walk down every time to use the bathroom.

Well-organised place where a lot is going on. There was a bar, games some food, people quite liked it and it always felt lively and busy. I had a twin room which was larger than I expected for a bunk bed and a table, there was also a sink in the middle.

On Jan 1st 2025 there was strong rain, cold/frost & the New Year parade where a lot of people got soaked. The heating didn't work until 8 pm (it works through the night only). After asking at reception for any additional sources of heating, the answer was that it's centralized and nothing can be done. I found it pretty cold, with no chance to dry wet clothes. The internet wasn't good. Download 7-10 Mb/s, Upload avg 3-5 Mb/s.

Rooms were fun to look at, loved the floor names! Felt like a very cool place. Beds were very comfy, staff were kind, and the check in/check out process was unexpectedly super simple. Right around the corner from Gays the Word too, which was a great surprise! Me and my partner booked out a 2bed bunk bed, it was nice that it functioned like a private room but still at a cheaper hostel rate.

Lack of communal fridge, which I didn't realise when booking, so I lost out on a premade breakfast I had prepared for the next day of travel. This is kind of my bad for assuming there would be one instead of checking, but it felt worth the mention.
