Recently renovated, tasteful decor & spotlessly clean. Comfortable bed & pillows. Quiet aircon & fridge. Quiet room - at the rear of the property, so well away from traffic noise Free Netflix & WiFi. Great kitchenette. Excellent reception staff who went above & beyond expectations eg helped us reschedule our ongoing flight after it was cancelled. Within walking distance of the Botanical Gardens, a nice coffee shop, bottle shop & shopping mall with supermarket. Good value for $’s

The most beautifully designed accommodation, great size for all the rooms - lounge, bedroom and bathroom; some lovely extras (coffee, cheese/crackers, puzzle books, body lotion in the bathroom) with lots of thought put into the colours and design of the crockery and functionality of the kitchen. Lovely and warm with the heat pump, very comfortable bed. Also in a great location for eating out, getting to town or out to the airport. Loved it!

It would've been 10/10 but the only thing that I would change is to have a black out curtain over the bedroom window - too much street and other close accommodation light coming in!!

Spotless, renovated rooms were just lovely. Ed was the perfect host, showing us through our rooms and explaining all the appliances etc. Room was spacious, very comfortable and very quiet. We had the King room, and the king size bed was very comfortable, with a few different pillows to choose from. The bathroom was a great size, spotlessly clean with great hot water and excellent water pressure, and body wash, shampoo and conditioner provided. The kitchenette was fantastic, with Nespresso Pod machine, toaster, kettle, microwave and crockery/cutlery etc. Coffee pods teas and fresh milk is provided. There was a great-sized TV with Netflix, air conditioning and heaters. There was free, onsite parking and there is a laundry for guest use, for a small fee. Considering the close proximity to the City Centre, we consider the Milano outstanding value for money and an absolute gem! We highly recommend staying here! Thanks so much to the Milano team for such a pleasant stay. We'll be back for sure!

Very well maintainted and presented apartment as per description. Friendly staff. Easy parking close to the room. Close by to the property, there is a cafe where you can get the breakfast - only 2 minute walk, and in 7-8 minutes there are a lot of bars to get dinner. We didn't want loud places so we found one italian restaurant as well. Anyway - you shoudl be able to find a place to eat as per your liking without need to drive by car.

We arrived on Friday afternoon and the street was quite busy as it was a school clothing time. After few hours the traffic reduced but it still was busy in the early morning and you can hear if you sleep with the open window (we had room #1 that was the closest to the street - probably it is not applicable to other rooms).

I saw someone review the Milano Motor Lodge as 12 out of 10 and I completely agree. Everything was perfect from getting an extra night at short notice, to being showed around the rooms, help with laundry and helping us decide where to explore Christchurch. Nothing was too much trouble and the customer service 5 star. The rooms were equipped with everything you could need, they were clean, comfortable and immaculately decorated. Will definitely stay again when we return next year. Shops, restaurants and city were all within walking distance. We were in the units closest to the road and did not hear any road noise at all. The cafe just down the road Truffles had the best coffee.

If I could give a 12/10 I would. This place was stunning. The little personal touches in the decor, the soup and cheese and crackers, the comfort - the whole thing was amazing. Staff were lovely and super helpful. Hubby was fascinated by the light in the bathroom mirror, the funky shower layout and the mini ironing board. Event though we were on Papanui Rd we did not hear any traffic at all. Plenty of parking too!! We wish we had spent our whole holiday here!!

My only minor suggestion would be curtains in the bedroom as the light came through quite early. Otherwise nothing!

We had a great and comfortable stay at the Milano. We were kindly upgraded to the queen studio which was great! All the things that we would need are available and heaps of free parking for guest.

Nothing at all. Just a suggestion, would be nice if there was a safe in the rooms to store important documents and such. But not a deal breaker. :)

The property managers were very hospitable and kind. The room was everything we hoped and was the cleanest we have ever stayed in, I just wish we had been able to stay longer. The location was beautiful, close to shops,cafes and restaurants. It’s close to the Airport and was a wonderful base to stay whilst in Christchurch. Highly recommend to even the most discerning guest. You will not be disappointed.

I loved that they had their own netflix and prime video subscriptions so we didn't have to login to ours. It's like they thought of every detail and turned it into a convenience. They accomodated our bed request and the beds were super comfortable. The kitchen had everything you could ever need and there was a cleaning service each day.

It was all perfect.

Good location to supermarket, cafes and eateries. Clean and well/warmly decorated - feels so much at home. Low season hence we could check in an hour earlier and many car park lots available. Ed was super helpful as the car froze overnight and I didn’t know what to do. He must have noticed it and came to our rescue and taught us how to manage it henceforth. Really appreciate it.
