We stayed at a very spacious apartment no 3 for just one night for Uni open day. Even though the hallway was quite dark and gloomy the apartments are very bright and fragrant. I shared the room with my daughter and her friend and we all found the beds very comfy. The kitchen is fully equipped and there is a kettle/mugs/tea and coffee in the room plus complimentary water in the communal area. The bathrooms were very clean and hygienic. And all other guest really friendly. Our room had wooden shutters which blocked the street noise (there was a storm on the days we started in Edinburgh) and the light. The apartment is within a short walk of a number of buses which can take you to either city centre / Royal Mile / the castle or uni campus. Derek was very helpful and put the heating on so all our wet clothes dried overnight. Overall a very comfortable stay. Thank you.

The location is very good, about 1km walk to the Royal Mile and frequent buses if you prefer. The accommodation is very good value for Edinburgh and is kept very clean by Derek, who is the onsite accommodation help. The rooms are simple but functional. There is a shared kitchen for the 6 rooms within the apartment and 2 shower/toilet rooms. We meet some very nice people and the apartment is far enough away from the road to aviod traffic noise. The apartment is in the student area, so lots of local bars and restaurants. It's also next to a Sainsbury's Local supermarket

The hallway leading to the 2nd floor apartment is poorly light and unkempt. The shared 2 showers and toilets are just about manageble with 5 rooms of multiple occupancy.

Massive credits and gratitude to our host and property manager, Derek for making our stay and first travel in Edinburgh extremely pleasant and worth remembering. On the way up to the place seemed sketchy as our first impression but it turned out to be the complete opposite when reached the floor to our room. Everything inside was vibrant and chic and homey. Very organized and systematic. Sparkly clean especially the bathrooms which is a big deal for my friend and I when traveling. We had all the essentials provided for us from towels, hair dryer, extra blankets, etc. extra points as well for the washing machine which my friend got to used when she ran out of thermal leggings to wear for our tours. We were completely clueless of what to expect when we arrived in Edinburgh everything in our itinerary was DIY but thankfully the location of the place was accessible to the bus stops like literally just less than 5 minutes away and if you’re group is more active than us some of the most visited attractions is just walking distance.

Nothing major really but just a suggestion, maybe just to provide slippers for visitors.

The location is excellent for those wanting to explore the city. I took the kids to see some of the sites of Edinburgh, and we only needed somewhere to lay our heads for the evening. It was clean, warm and comfortable. I was reassured to see other families staying there and everyone I met was respectful and friendly. We managed to get into our room early to leave our bags so we could explore the city, which was really helpful. It's right by a main bus route if you need to reduce your walking.

It's a bit of an odd set-up with no reception, a shared kitchen and two shower rooms to share between all rooms, but there is a manager you can call if there are any problems and everything worked well for us. I didn't like the very bouncy double bed as I had to share it with my daughter and didn't get a lot of sleep due to her constant movement, but it's only a little thing.

The kitchem and the bathrooms had everything what needed. Actually there are two bathrooms! There is a small fridge in the central room wich is refilled with free bottled waters every afternoon, because the kitched is closed in the late night. In summary, we had a great time there and would go back!

The street was very loud until 22 pm, even with closed windows. If there are loud, uncivilized turkish or arab families with kids in the next room you gonna have hard time sleeping because you will hear everything. The wifi is very unstable in the room nr. 2. (i dont know about the others) If you need a tax invoice you will also have a bit hard time, we provided every infos but the manager still screwed up, even with the correction its still bad but nevermind.

Lovely room with everything one needs in a well-run apartment. It's close to the centre and the nearest park and has the next grocery shop just downstairs. Plenty of cafes, shops and restaurants are nearby, as is the bus stop so it's literally just 5 mins to the Royal Mile.

This was exactly as a expected and it fulfilled my needs. I needed a family room to sleep 4 people for one night in Edinburgh and this was the least expensive option that I could find. The bathrooms were shared but this did not detract from the experience at all. Free water was provided each day. The room was large. The beds were comfortable. We slept well at night as it was very quiet

Everything was fine as we just needed a place to stay for the night. I think the only thing I would have liked were some thicker blackout curtains to block out any street lights.

Rooms were clean and beds were pretty comfy! Two bathrooms and showers which was great! The Manager Derek was so lovely

Room was basic, but very spacious with lovely large window. Kitchen was well equipped and the owner was very thoughtful about leaving bottles of water at night time in a separate fridge/freezer in the communal area. There were 2 modern shower rooms between 6 rooms which was sufficient.

Dirty cups and spoons in the room- but there was a kitchen with clean tableware and cutlery so this wasn't an issue.. Room was very stuffy and warn but the window could not be opened (sealed for safety?).

Derek was amazing, helpful und kind. Thanks a lot. The room was very clean an pretty new. We have been worried because of one bad review about room 6, the one we stayed in. But there was nothing to complain about. Bathrooms have been cleaned every day. The kitchen was well equipped and tidy. Great stay, we will be back.

Rooms are in the second floor with a narrow stairs, so be aware that you have to carry your luggage upstairs.
