We were impressed from minute one. Our flight arrived just after 6:00 AM. We arrived at the hotel arround 8:00 AM. We requested early check-in. The desk clerk did what he could. We got into our room shortly before noon--which was excellent--we were able to have a nap, much needed from over 20 hours of travelling. We need a mobility accessible room. We are used to US hotels where they do the absolute minimum to accomodate folks that are unable to walk. This hotel was the most thoughtful accessible room we have ever slept in. Loved it. The breaksfast and breakfast area was amazing. Lots of choices! The housekeeping staff came every day and kept our room immaculate. The hotel is so close to the train station, which itself is marvelous. The train system is perfect. We were also able to walk to a shopping mall, lots of small stores, and restaurants as well as a casino. (My husband walked. I rode in my mobility scooter.

It's not a dislike, but I was surprised there was no pool.

Would have been better if booking.com sent hotel confirmation of our booking .Arrived to find hotel had no record of room booked ,took duty manager one&half hours to source booking from your site . Reason for delay had to book in & check out other quests, in meantime we missed start of Knotfest festival we were to attend ( 1 hr) after the time delay the hotel could not be faulted , gave us parking & priority in room cleaning after they found us a room . With Approximately 30 thousand attending festival I reckon chances of finding another accommodation in vicinity not good that ias why hotel got capital A’ s in review thank - you

24/7 reception is so helpful (when you arrive late like we did, after an evening show). Staff friendly and knowledgeable. Place is very clean and quiet. Bed extremely comfortable with two choices of pillows. Breakfast always fresh and with a very big selection of food. Holiday Inn feels reliable and very welcoming.

We stayed in the accessible room. I'd like you to remind the cleaner to not fix the shower head at the top of the 'pole' when they've finished cleaning the bathroom. If you are an independent traveller but a wheelchair user, it's impossible to reach that shower head on your own. Most people prefer holding the shower head when they shower - not being forced to stand / sit under it.

The lobby was big and comfortable and the vibe of the hotel was nice. I appreciated the access to laundry, though I didn't use it, and the gym which my partner did use. It had some weights and a few exercise machines. The hotel is in a great location just 5 minutes walk from Central Station and just slightly uphill at the end (we learned Brisbane has a lot of hills!). We could easily walk to the city, Fortitude Valley, Howard Smith Wharf, to the nearest ferry dock and to Roma St Parklands. The breakfast buffet was great with all the basics and a bit more: scrambled eggs, toast, pancakes, cereal, tea and coffee, fruit etc. Check in was easy and the room was comfortable. The bed was pretty good, the AC worked well and the blinds blocked out all the light. I appreciated that the doona wasn't stupidly thick like many hotels, but nice and cosy. I would definitely stay again.

The bathroom was separated from the room by frosted glass that meant you could see rough colours and outlines of the person in the bathroom and the shower, so only stay here if you're very comfortable with your room mate! Housekeeping was lacking attention to detail. Our mugs were never cleaned or replaced over four days and I had no way of properly cleaning them. The moisturiser was empty when we arrived. Tissues weren't replaced, and the beds we remade very poorly with the mattress protector and sheet askew. The sheets barely fit the bed which didn't help. We asked for a few things like spare tissues and moisturiser which the staff happily brought, and I quickly remade my bed (i.e. put the sheet back on the bed properly) so it wasn't a big deal.

Perfect location near bus stop. Soundproofing was excellent, very quiet at night. Buffet breakfast was excellent but cappacino maker was disappointing. Restaurant menu was adequate and after a long day out it was convenient to eat at the hotel or in your room. Laundry facilities were very good. The staff were excellent and happily changed our room from a double bed to a twin share.

The beds were on the firm side. The soft pillows were too soft, the firm pillows were more comfortable.

Great location! Super comfortable bed and pillows!! Great to have fridge and kettle in the room! (Loved that I could boil water for tea without it tasting like coffee!) Very good breakfast. Lovely and very helpful staff! Very clean! Quiet room!

The layout of the bathroom - although sensible in respect to space - did not make sense in respect to light and noise. The glass enclosure of the shower allowed lots of light to flood the bedroom at night. In addition, the sound of the shower or toilet flushing would also be intrusive to the bedroom at night. So, if one partner needed to use the washroom at night, the light and sound of the washroom was waaaaaaay too much for the partner sleeping in the bedroom.

Staff were really lovely, comfortable beds, reception team excellent.

Booking.coms info was not specific enough. I requested 2 single beds as we weren't a couple. We arrived to a queen bed, with all single bed rooms taken. Hotel said I had to contact booking.com to discuss booking however you can't contact Booking.com except via email and wait. We needed immediate support as I was considering booking another hotel. It took several hours for them to sort out, but they did. Also, bathroom/toilet was separated by a glass wall which was not sound proof at all nor completely private. This is OK for couples but not for two people sharing a room.

Comfortable, clean room with the basics of what you need for a night's stay. Booked last minute and was a reasonable price still, including a self-service continental breakfast. Easy checkin & checkout. Updated bathrooms, with interesting door/design, but offering less privacy than standard designs would. Did appreciate the nod to Brisbane City with the river and city plan reference.

Lacks sound proofing/full door coverage for bathroom - so better to be fairly comfortable with whomever you're sharing the room with - one door, which either closes off the whole bathroom, or the shower section. One of the room keys didn't work for the room door entry. Complimentary breakfast had a range of simple choices, enough to kick-start your day.

RECEPTION STAFF, BREAKFAST AND ROOM The reception staff were very helpful. At breakfast, the croissants and apple cake were both delicious. The service was excellent particularly Mary, the catering assistant. She was helpful, and conscientious with detail cleaning. Mary has a beautiful smile. The room on the 11th floor was lovely with a superb view over Brisbane city. T

BREAKFAST AND HOUSEKEEPING There was not much choice with the food for breakfast. It would have been better to have 'proper' eggs rather than the eggy powder used for the scrambled eggs. Poached eggs would be a welcome addition. The ham/bacon was under or over-cooked most mornings. The housekeeping staff didn't always remember to change the towels and the room was a bit dusty in the corners. Detail cleaning needs to be improved.

Staff were very friendly and helpful at the front desk. Breakfast and car parking were included in the accommodation price. Breakfast had a nice selection of food and car parking was an added bonus. I would have no hesitation in staying here again.

I didn't like that hotel couldn't accommodate the single bed request but as it was only for one night it was no big issue but had I known ahead of time I would have definitely reconsidered about booking this hotel.
