Superb location with beautiful river views, the hotel is centrally situated. The rooms have a classic, dated appearance, which adds to the Langham charm. The beds are incredibly comfortable, ensuring a wonderful night's sleep. The hotel boasts excellent facilities, including a heated swimming pool with stunning city views, especially beautiful at night.

The staff did not meet the friendly standards expected from a Langham chain hotel, especially those managing the Bell service. They were very unfriendly and rude. When I was parking my car, they assumed I wasn't a guest and referred to my wife as if she was visiting a friend. Their attitude only changed once they realized I was a hotel resident. Additionally, I had a baby with me and left the car in the valet area for an hour. Despite informing the senior attendant that I would be back shortly, he charged me $80 for a full-day rate without any prior notice about the cost. There was a complete lack of decency in communicating the rate.

Our first time at the Langham and it was wonderful. The complimentary upgrade to a corner terrace room was unexpected but amazing, and our room was ready when we arrived at 9am. The staff were professional, efficient and friendly from check in to check out.

The location is absolutely fantastic – close to major attractions, dining, and public transport, making it incredibly convenient for exploring the city. The rooms are warm, inviting, and exceptionally comfortable. The attention to detail in the decor created a homely atmosphere, and the bed was so cozy that I slept wonderfully every night. Everything was clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully arranged. Additionally, the overall ambiance of the hotel was serene and elegant, offering a peaceful retreat after a busy day. The staff were also friendly and attentive, ensuring a pleasant stay.

The only slight bummer was that the tea bags in the room were not properly restocked during my stay. This would have been nice, especially considering how well maintained everything else was.

Loved the friendly staff, they were so helpful, polite and just really nice people, except for the man at front entrance with the funny bowler style hat, very unfriendly and mean looking. I was leaving the hotel to go to the 7eleven and I smiled and nodded to him but he gave me a look of disgust, not acceptable. I loved the buffet breakfast. I loved the hotels beautiful interior, just stunning! The hotel room was beautiful, however the bed was uncomfortable, I had very little sleep while there. The buffet dinner was very disappointing to me, I was looking forward to some delicious roast meat and veges but the meat was way too rare, I felt like throwing up when I saw it and this turned me off eating anything much at all. At $300 × 2, I think you can do better. The room was very hot and I called the service team to see if they could change the aircon or give some assistance. They said they would look into it but I didn't hear another word from them about it. As I have stayed at the Langham before I found it not to be as good as I remembered it. I will stay there again in the near future, perhaps my next stay will improve

The location and the comfort. The staff were very friendly. Ticked most of the boxes one would expect of this type of 5* hotel. The hotel is literally 1 minute to the Yarra River and all the cafe culture the hotel is close to the train station and main drag of shops and dining.

The first room I was given was adjacent to the lift and also there was manual demolition of the next building to the left side of the hotel. The reception changed my room very quickly and smoothly without any fuss. I think the construction work will continue for the next 2 years. I advise people to request rooms on the right side or riverside of the hotel to avoid the noise.

What is not to like about the Langham ? Perfect location, comfy bed. Room service was great for us not wanting to go out for tea !!

OK - so major bummer is the works going on next door. We stayed on a Friday night hoping for a sleep in as we had a midday checkout. Jackhammers started at 8am on the Saturday morning .... Yes they did tell us about it when we checked in (via a message on the TV - not in person at reception) - but we were on that side of the building and it literally shook the windows :) No chance of a sleep in. We probably won't return until the construction is complete which is a shame because it's otherwise perfect.

Our stay at the Langham Hotel Melbourne was absolutely wonderful! We stayed for three days with our family, and every aspect of our experience exceeded expectations. The location is perfect, right in the heart of Melbourne, making it easy to explore the city.

there were a couple of minor disappointments. We were surprised to find a service charge applied for sterilizing milk bottles, which we felt could have been a complimentary service, especially for families with young children. Additionally, it seemed that vacuum cleaning wasn’t done during our stay, which we would have expected for a hotel of this standard.

Excellent location, love the “old worldliness” of the Langham. Restaurant and housekeeping staff were lovely, front desk staff a little hit and miss unfortunately. The Melba’s breakfast is always amazing.

Reception staff a bit of a mixed bag. Check in was great, but when we requested a later check out it felt like we were asking the lady for a second mortgage on her house. Not particularly friendly or engaging, nor did she think to re-code our door keys which locked us out of the lifts/room etc bang on midday. Just expect a higher level of service for the price you pay.

The buffet breakfast was excellent. I found all the food service staff were faultless. All attentive, polite and were very pleasant. Any house keeping staff I encountered were very polite and professional. I loved the smell of the hotel. On arrival the staff at the entrance were very welcoming and helpful.

Checking out was not as smooth. Only one staff member, I don't mind waiting but then a family just pushed right in front of me. I struggled with my suitcase on the carpet. I was told to go to the bell desk to organise a taxi. I waited there for a few minutes, no staff. I went outside again the staff were attentive and helpful.
