This was our second stay at the Westshore Grand. The location is excellent for the airport, restaurants and shops, bus into Tampa. The lounge and bar areas are very pleasant, and the lift with glass panelling, quite something.

As long as everything goes smoothly everything is fine. However the emails received before one arrives, with promise of airport shuttle are very annoying when you arrive after a long flight from Europe to discover in no way can you get someone to answer a telephone to ask for the shuttle bus. Apparently the airport shuttle bus can‘t pick up where it should because of some road works or something… emails to the hotel the week earlier requesting a shuttle remained most probably unread. No one wants to know if you complain…there is no one to complain to, and the mails received after our stay when I mentioned this have remained unanswered and most probably unread.

The rooms were well appointed, plenty of room and space. In town for business so had a good desk for laptop and worked some from the room. Bathroom was spacious and well stocked; bed was comfortable and plenty of hanging space for clothes or drawer space for folded clothes. Had dinner most nights I was there at the bar, food was very tasty, and the bar staff was delightful. Eva was fantastic. All the bar staff was great, she just had a way of bringing patrons together either with the games on TV or just general conversation. Staff for check-in and out were helpful and friendly, a wealth of knowledge, custodial staff was fantastic and even let me work quietly in my room on days I was in there all day. Overall fantastic hotel stay. Parking deck made me feel like I needed to duck half the time, but that is also a Tampa thing. I would not mind staying here again, look forward to it on my next trip to Tampa.

Good sized room with space for all of our luggage. The staff were WONDERFUL. We stayed a few days after Hurricane Milton and so the pool was out of action, and there was a small flood in reception. Super close to the Airport - just be very careful not to end up on the Howard Franklin Bridge which took us miles out of our way. A great stop over after a long flight. Close to a good shopping Mall, and good to most things around Tampa.

I did need to ask for a couple of extra blankets because the Air Conditioning was a bit noisy and it was cold in the room with it off. But again, the Staff were wonderful and my blankets arrived super fast!

booked room wasn’t available, we were moved to a different room without a bed but a pull out. pull out came with no sheets. A/C in room ran poorly, only 1 trash can in the room, shower didn’t drain properly

Swimming pool was perfectly nice, staff at breakfast were friendly and helpful. Nice bath (Americans call it a tub).

Aha….now a chance to provide one’s ‘real’ concerns (= not the usual rubbish about how wonderful the place is !)….despite having paid IN FULL well-in-advance (via Booking.com) their invoicing is a bit iffy ! ‘valet parking’ was automatically ‘added’ but I am NOT convinced that it WAS later credited (at checkout) ? The receptionist seemed confused by the ‘minus’ (-) signs on the invoice (= first payment FROM Booking.com & then whether my $28 ‘parking’ did get credited, or didn’t ??!!)….I won’t really know until in several weeks I see my credit-card statement = I withhold my ‘final judgement’ !!!

We really liked how close it was to Disney. hotel is very basic and probably very comparable to a best western but you could not fault the cleanliness.

We did think that the breakfast was a rip-off. When booking we selected the breakfast included option expecting the buffet in all the pictures however you got a token to a machine coffee a piece of fruit and a slice of cake for each of your stay. We found this really unacceptable and inedible.

Location & staff were great.

King bed was too high for short person. A microwave in the room would have been nice.

The front desk staff was very friendly. The beds were comfortable though a little too high for me as I’m only 5 foot four and with short legs. I like the space in the room we had plenty of space it was pretty centrally located also.

I did not like that for a Marriott hotel It did not offer room service, and so many things were à la cart. For instance, Internet and parking. The TV selection was very limited and it seemed like a very old-fashioned access method to stations.

Large spacious room with comfortable bed and nice view of downtown area. Hotel was quiet and overall clean. Staff were all very helpful and nice to deal with.

The parking garage is a little sketchy feeling. It's behind the hotel in a dark alley (thought I was lost for a minute) with no gate or security. There are also a lot of homeless people camped out in the surrounding areas. That isn't something that the hotel can control but if you are traveling alone it's something you should be aware of.

Great location. Very good breakfast buffet (complimentary with our stay). Personable staff.

Booked this location specifically for the roof-top pool, but it was closed for renovation. No advance notice the pool was unavailable.
