The hotel is excellent. Perfect location, very clean and comfortable, wonderful breakfast. No elevator and very steep stairs but for a building from the 16th century, this is expected...

I got a different type of room (in the new part of the hotel) from the one that I booked (which was classic and very beautiful). I asked at the reception desk and they told me that is the same type (which was obviously not the case). Finally, I got a discount and I remained in the given room which was OK. Not too much trouble, but felt a little dissapointed. That is why I reviewed the hotel with 9 instead of 10.

The location is just 5 minutes walk to duomo and its accessible to everywhere you go. Santa maria novella is only 9mins walk. The bed is comfortable and the room is very clean its been cleaned everyday. It was spotless. The staff was nice and very accomodating they are available 24 hours. And the best was the surprised that they did for my sons birthday when we came in the room we have plate of fruits and some cakea and a prossecco. Thank you that was really nice. Carrefour supermarket is only across the road and some restaurants nearby. For me this is an ideal hotel to stay if youre in florence. Not too crowdy with tourist and not too loud in the area.

The aircondition could be a bit stronger. But its ok.

From the moment I arrived a was greeted by Andre at the front desk, the otel staff made every effort to enhance my stay. Anthony was very helpful bringing my luggage to the room, as well as displaying lots of patience with me with the code and key combination on the room safe. Lorenzo took great care of the guest s every morning at breakfast. He makes a delicious latte. As a bonus, Andre and Lorenzo prepared a lunch to go for me on the way to Le Pavoniere Golf Club in Florence.

On the first night, a water pipe outside my room was noisy, so Andre and Anthony arranged for a ans set me up in a quieter room for the next three nights.

The hotel is quite close to the centre, a 5-minute walk from Santa Maria del Fiore. The staff is friendly and the breakfast was good, especially for an Italian breakfast. Also, I liked the coffee. The room is big and comfortable. I slept well and appreciated a quiet room/with good soundproofing. A good value for money.

The cleaning needs to be improved. I found that there was a lot of dust in my room(no.14) and didn't feel it was a proper cleaning for a 4* hotel. I have stayed at other 4* hotels in Florence(even 3*) and all of them were spotless and clean. Besides location and comfort of the room, I always choose a hotel based on cleanliness rating.

Staff were awesome! Helpful, friendly, and informative! Breakfast is at the restaurant next door and is sensational!!! The young man overseeing breakfast is superb and will do anything he can to make your meal time perfect. Rooms were clean and functional. The elevator was very slow so we used the stairs except when moving heavy luggage. Then we were VERY GRATEFUL for the slow elevator! The hotel is on the edge of a downward neighborhood. There was a lot of graffiti and questionable characters. We didn't really feel unsafe though. Just wouldn't want to be there with a young family.

· Pool area was not as I expected. This is ok since we weren't using the pool much. No one there to hand out towels. Elevator very very slow. Everything else was excellent!

It was clean, well located, everything within walking distance and the staff was very friendly. We loved using the pool and spa after a long day of exploring.

The shower drain was slow, and flooded the bathroom floor every time we showered. We were close to one of the main hallway doors that required a key card to enter and were woken up every morning to guests walking by because the door would slam. I would recommend putting a sign on the door, asking guests not to slam the door.

The staff was exceptionally friendly and eager to have the guests have a great time. Everyone is super dog friendly and even when our dog had an 'accident' on the carpet (we are so sorry for that), they were very kind and even asked for our dog's wellbeing after. We had help unpacking and packing luggages and got great recommendations for going out at night from the reception. Thanks for that! We loved how close we were to the dome and had every location of the florentine old town in walking distance. The street is busy with nightlife and gastro and has a Carrefour just next door. There is american and italian breakfast and fresh made coffee in the morning.

One thing that wasn't quite clear to us is that there is no real parking spot, not even for a few minutes. The street is very narrow and any parking car blocks all traffic. We would have packed more efficiently to get out of the car quickly. The hotel did send info on parking our car well in advance, though.

The hotel is in a great location. Only a short walk to all the main attractions in Florence such as the Galleria, the Duomo, the markets, the main train station and Uffizi. The staff were lovely. Alessandro made us feel very comfortable and was there to help with any inquires we had during our stay. The breakfast was delicious. Room was newly renovated and lovely interior. Bed and pillows were comfortable.

The only downfall was it was an old building. There was no lift however Alessandro always made sure someone was there to help us with our suitcases upon arrival and departure. He also informed us that a lift will be installed in February.

Hotel exceeded my expectations! After check-in, the manager walked me to the room personally. When I walked in, I found a personal hand written letter (full small 1-page letter, not post-it). It really lifted my spirits. Breakfast was at restaurant next door and was restaurant quality. I'm not sure if this is always the case or was temporary arrangement for the hotel. The location was convenient to walk everywhere. Room was spacious and modern. Really well done considering the building age.

A beautiful hotel located in the heart of Florence, with lovely staff who couldn’t do enough to help us both before our arrival via email and throughout our stay. Upon arrival, the staff took our bags to our room and handled them again when we checked out. We booked two rooms, one of which had a lovely balcony overlooking the pool area. Both rooms were spotless and included nice extras like slippers and additional toiletries. The rooms also had air conditioning, which was a welcome relief in the summer heat. The pool was a wonderful feature, with towels provided for guests. We chose not to book breakfast since the hotel's central location offers plenty of nearby options but we decided to try it on our last day for convenience, and it was perfectly fine .
