GOGO Petit Hotel is absolutely superb, feeling to me like a luxury hotel worth 2 or 3 times what it cost to be there! It's located in a robustly built historic building some 200 years old, near the American embassy (or consulate, idk exactly) so the area is very secure. There's an impressive giant Ferris wheel nearby too, wish I'd ridden on it one evening at sunset, sigh... The hotel interior looks quite new, and it's very well crafted. For example the plumbing is excellent: Never before had I enjoyed a shower that provided hot water instantly, plus the broad shower head makes it seem like one is standing in warm rain. The ancient Romans would've wished their beloved baths were so nice! Fully recommended!!

I stayed here for 3 nights during the week. It was a good choice, I chose it for the location. Close to the Uffizi but still in a quiet area. I don't know what it's like in the summer, but it was quiet in November. Claudio was kind and ready with restaurant suggestions. No smoking inside, there is a small terrace. When I return to Florence, I think I will opt for this accommodation again. Be sure to have cash for the city tax, 6 euros/person/day. Breakfast can be paid by card. It is the kind of small business hotel. It is an apartment in which the rooms were equipped with individual bathrooms, very well equipped (including disposable shower slippers).

Very clean and comfortable. The internet, which is ESSENTIAL to me and my work, was excellent. The location near the US Consulate was quiet and easy to find. The codes to get in the main door and the hotel itself were convenient. I would stay here again.

There is no elevator which you are made aware of when you book the property. It would be a challenge to go up there with a lot of large or heavy bags.

A nice small hotel located very close to the centre, but still away from the crowds. Close to the train station. Convenient to walk around the city and close to a huge park and the river. The hosts were very nice and welcoming. The room was very big and overall I had a pleasant stay.

Room 7 was great! it is very cosy and quiet, facing an internal courtyard, sunny most of the day and the bed is very comfy. I also liked the shower that has very good pressure and the fact that the bathroom can be heated up quickly in literally minutes. Due to the aircon the room can be kept as hot or as cold as one needs, which is precious, especially in winter - some of the old historic buildings in Italy can be very cold. Also good wifi including for online calls. There are some fantastic bakeries (Becagli Forni is maybe the best in Florence!), shops and restaurants nearby. Very safe nice area, close to the city centre. The staff are very nice and helpful. Since it is an old building, there is no lift but if you organise in advance with the staff, they can help carry up and down your luggage if you need.

Perfect location: a quiet area right by the Arno and only a few minutes’ walk to most tourist sites. The room had everything we needed, and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

The only downside was the construction work across the street (which obviously the hotel couldn’t help!) The double glazing was brilliant at shutting out most of the noise, but it meant we had to keep the windows closed, which was fine in spring but wouldn’t be ideal when it gets hotter…

It’s not that much of a negative point but there was no elevator and also, we could hear people talking in the lobby in the morning (our room was right next to it)

Fantastic location, very quiet street. Daniele and Valentina are lovely and run a very friendly, clean and stylish small hotel. The description is entirely accurate, and people must pay attention to that. If you want lots of facilities and an elevator, this is not the place for you, but it doesn't promise that either in the description.

Everything, from the very spacious room, well designed and decorated, to the absolutely wonderful staff. Valentina and Daniel were very friendly, gracious and accommodating, allowing me to leave my luggage for a short while after I checked out. Valentina was superb, with assistance on dinner reservations, where to go and what to see as well as directions for everything. The breakfast is top notch with the cappuccino the very best I had on this trip.

This was a nice stay. The property was in a good location, very quiet, and a nice stroll from the major attractions. Facilities were clean and the staff was nice and helpful. Although the property does not have a 24-hour reception, access is easy, and support is provided. I contacted the staff after hours for a minor request and they responded promptly.
