It was quiet inside. The room was big. The luggage store was very useful. Tea and coffee in the room.

The noise from outside was very loud all through the night. I booked this hotel because we wanted twin beds, I also asked for this when I checked in online, but we were given a double bed in a disabled room. The pillow was very thin. Extra pillows should be available in the room. I would like a socket on both sides of the bed as I use my phone as an alarm clock.

The location was fantastic, so close to restaurants, shops and entertainment, directly opposite the utility arena! The room was adequate, it wasn't that big but there was plenty of room for two people, there was complimentary drinks and all the usual stuff you could want (iron, lamp, kettle, extra pillows, slippers, cups and all bathroom soaps and shampoo) Breakfast was great, there was a hot buffet, potatoes/bacon/beans/tomatoes/eggs, also fruit, toast and bread, cereal, jams and marmalade and my daughters favourite the huge jar of self dispensing Nutella spread! Lastly there is a Tesco express a 30 second walk from the front door.

I could easily pick out lots of little things that weren't perfect, the bathroom door was a slide door and didn't always shut properly, it didn't matter to us as I stayed with my daughter, the room was also quite hot during the night so we opened the window, however as we were right in the city centre it was quite noisy! The first night sleep wasn't great, however the second night was spot on, we had the window open in the evening and shut it overnight, perfect solution. I would happily stay here again despite any of the little things, also nothing big enough to actually complain about.

The staff were great, the room spacious, with good views, and the beds super comfortable. It was nice to have an opening window in a hotel! The water was at a good temperature and pressure in the shower. The welcome jars of snacks were a nice touch in the lobby, and the location couldn't have been better for the Utilita Arena. Downstairs toilets were clean and the building airy. The pastries at breakfast were delicious, and good quality bacon.

The room was a bit tired, and some stains on the carpet near the bathroom. The toilet wasn't clean on the outside... fortunately I had antibacterial wipes and dealt with it. The taps weren't attached securely to the wall, and a very annoying tiny step into the bathroom which led to several stubbed toes. Only one lift working, which led to large waits, seems to be an ongoing issue given previous reviews. Breakfast was rather disappointing, only scrambled eggs which were rather watery, powdered milk in the coffee machines and it took forever to get breakfast due to the queues.

The property was in the perfect location, 5 minute walk to Cardiff queen street train station. Directly opposite the utilita arena and a few minutes walk to the St David’s shopping centre. The family room we had was a great size, the beds were large and extremely comfortable. All staff we met were so friendly and helpful. Luggage storage was ideal too.

The room was a looking a little tired, the paintwork on the bathroom door was very scratched and peeling off for example, it could do with a freshen up. The tap for the bath did not work very well, it was impossible to run a hot bath, the shower worked fine but not the bath. Which was a shame as I had small children with me wanting a bath but did not effect the enjoyment of our stay.

The location was fabulous and the room was lovely and clean. The restaurant was closed that week in the evenings but no hardship with so much on the doorstep. Reception gentleman was very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was also good

But we asked for a quiet room and within the hotel it was , but outside noise went on until the early hours and then delivery vehicles started at 5.30/6. So no rest for the wicked. A know you get noise in a city centre but this was a lot of it!!! The chambermaid was a little too eager on checkout day and started our room whilst we were having breakfast even though checkout was midday. This made us feel we should pack up early and go.

1st time staying at this hotel. It was within walking distance to the city centre + beside the motorpoint arena, sports bar, cinema + st david's carpark. It was very nice, clean, lovely spacious foyer areas. This even had a pool table. Foyer was very festive with christmas decorations and trees up + music playing. Room was on the 3rd floor + little or no noise from traffic outside. Never had breakfast here though. We were out every day meeting up with family.

All payments in hotel - either at bar, playing pool or to pay hotel bill was card only. (I just personally prefer cash though). In bathroom when you put on the light the extractor fan comes on. This can get so noisy especially at night/early mornings when up at bathroom few times (medical reasons). Lighting was very poor in the bedroom. Tea/coffee facilities but no biscuits available. There was a safe in the room but it didn't work. There were 2 arm chairs in the room but no cushions. Bed was solid + the pillows were too soft.

Staff made this place! Each member we encountered was friendly, chatty and helpful! Excellent location, even it being on main road and next to the town centre you could barely hear any noise from the cars. Really nice breakfast, that had plenty variety, and topped up continuously. Late night bar is a nice extra, as ment could get cold drinks even gone 2am! No need to trek to a late night shop. Also has a baggage drop, made it easier still being able to do things before catching a later train home without dragging round cases.

Pillows, super thin and rock soild, after a few days gave you abit of neck pain - again that could be a personal prefference, but for long stays did affect sleep abit. Lighting in the room, the main light to the room was closer to the bathroom and the door, wasnt central. So made the lighting over the beds non existant, even though they had back lights, they arent bright for obvs reasons, so when its dark outside u cant even use the natural light to help light the room, even the lamp on the table didnt give off much light to fill the room in order to do things like reading, makeup ect when sat on thw bed.

The location is great, directly opposite the utilita arena. It does have some of its own parking. The room was nice and clean. We were on the top floor, but they had lifts, so that's was OK. The main reception area was lovely. The bar looked nice. You can rent umbrellas, which is usually something I would forget. The bed was nice, there were spare pillows. The unsuite bathroom was lovely, it have shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel. There is a TV with free view.

The parking is very tight, not much room to manovere. A few people struggled, so you need to get there as soon as booking in opens. We got there around 3, and we parked easily. It wasn't clear about when to pay for parking. It's £25 for 1 night. Also, staff weren't surprised we and a couple of other guests couldn't work the parking meter. There was a table in the room, but the only chair was from the vanity table, so it was not practical for a couple. Breastfast didn't feel like it was worth the money, so would give that a miss next time. The Internet was particularly strong but thankfully had a book with me.

Brought my daughter for a 13th birthday treat night away. My best friend came too. Was such a amazing night. We loved our stay. The room was so nice. Breakfast was stunning. We was so looked after by staff. The female and male staff on reception was amazing anything we asked they was happy to help. Also was lovely friendly bubbly people. Perfect receptionist. We shopped dropped stuff back to our room went for food an was so easy with the location to just pop out an back if needed. Would highly recommend to anyone. Will definitely come back. Think it's my new favourite hotel

Clean, very friendly and helpful staff. Warm (as it was very cold outside) excellent breakfast with a good choice. Excellent position to access shops/cinema/utility stadiun(opposite) and close to millennium stadium. Staff were so helpful and friendly. We were offered a complimentary breakfast whilst on our stay. Car park underneath so convenient for the hotel. (Although you do have to pay).

The bathroom was a little tired. Could have done with another pillow but I’m sure if I had asked I would have been offered one straight away. Some noise from outside by delivery lorries but this is no fault of the hotel as it is so close to all amenities.
