The hotel was lovely, our room was fantastic. We ate in the hotel both evenings but unfortunately they both were completely different experiences. On the Friday, the gentlemen was efficient polite and very attentive. His service made the premium cost worth it and we thoroughly enjoyed a glass of wine overlooking the river. On the Saturday, the different gentlemen was distracted, not attentive and neglected to get things we asked for (sauces etc). The young lady was showing outstanding customer service when she was engaged with us however the pair were very focused on setting up for breakfast rather than looking after their seated guests. The above experience issues aside, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be visiting again in the near future.

everything was great and everything as expected. parking was a bonus and cheap for £25 for both days
This isnt a complaint as we really enjoyed the stay, but we had issues with the room heating which meant the room was really hot. we asked the maintenance who changed a filter but it made no difference. the room was 243 and really needs to be looked into. also, we found it strange that the cleaners only made the bed and changed the towels. they didnt replace the toilet roll, coffee facilities or remove glasses we had from the bar. we phoned reception who provided extra toilet rolls but thought it was very strange these were not cleaned /changed for a 2 night stay!

A fantastic large room with a view over the river. A delicious breakfast and a nice bar area for a morning meeting.
You had to go back downstairs to get a code for the wifi and then they said if you want better wifi you need to pay, a lot of money. Not a problem to a large company perhaps but I was working for a small arts organisation and had agreed my expenses in advance so I couldn't just whack an additional cost on. Quality hotels that advertise for business customers should have quality wifi. Walking in to take a look at the pool, you had to walk through a gym where people were mid-work out and it felt very uncomfortable.

Lovely hotel, with an amazing view of the Tyne Bridge from Reception and pool! Perfect location if you're going to a gig at the Glasshouse, and only a few minutes walk from Newcastle station . Nice big room: we booked a twin room & had a queen-sized bed each! Good size bathroom ensuite, with a really good power shower. The pool is big enough to actually swim in, which was a bonus! Water temp. was perfect, and the pool & changing rooms were spotlessly clean. Great jacuzzi, too!
No plug socket by the bed. (I had set the alarm on my phone, but had to plug it in across the room to charge it.) No biscuits with the tea & coffee provided in the room. I expected a little more, considering the price of the room. Aside from those tiny points, everything was great.

Room was excellent, lovely view of the Tyne and Quayside. Had a light late lunch in the bar after checking in to our room which was very nice. We were going to the Sage and had to be there early for a meet and greet so could not have an evening meal.
Coordination of payment for parking. The machine only charged £7 and we had to then tell reception when we checked in and pay a further £8 which was fine but we had a bill for £8 for parking left at our room door in the morning. We then had to have this rectified at reception.

Ideal location, easy to find with the bonus of having a car park! The Remembrance display with the poppy's in the water in reception area was a lovely touch as was the pictures at breakfast for the children to colour, lovely thought🩵💜
Would have liked to book table for breakfast as we were placed on table with high seats with my Grandson who was only 6yrs old, very difficult to eat his breakfast & concerned he would slip off the high seat, I did ask twice if we can change tables but the lady was not one but understanding or helpful

On arrival the reception area was stylish, modern, functional and cosy. The front desk staff member who checked us in was extremely helpful and friendly. All of the staff we encountered were friendly, polite and helpful. We chose a river view room and the view did not disappoint. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and if we return to the area again it is the only hotel we will look for accommodation in. The room was spacious with a stunning river view and a very clever/useful mirror/hairdryer setup which my wife loved. We would have no complaints
While the bed was very comfortable it was slightly narrow. As keen coffee drinkers better coffee supplies would be a plus. I had to search my brain for these issues but it definitively would not stop me from rebooking again tomorrow. This hotel is a gem.

The location was lovely, the staff were exceptionally friendly, anticipated needs, and even took time to chat even when busy. Breakfast was lovely with a good selection of choices including freshly cooked options. Very child friendly. And on one occasion I noticed children came to breakfast before their parent and they were chatted to and treated equally as well as the adults. On one occasion whilst being shown to our table, I stopped to say ‘hi’ to our son and grandchildren. We were being seated at the other end of the dining room on a particularly busy day but another member of staff had noticed and asked if we would like to be seated nearby as a table had just become free. I felt that this was particularly observant of her but great customer service. Having a husband with Alzheimer’s some places can be challenging but there were disabled facilities next to the pool which meant I was able to be with him to get changed and meant he could access the pool facilities with the rest of the family.
I liked everything and the Hilton had a lovely relaxed atmosphere. If I had one minor problem it was that the shower in our room was particularly ‘over vigorous’ I did not mention this as thought it may just be my perception but when my daughter in law used it she said the same. This did not detract from our enjoyment or satisfaction with the hotel.

The hotel looked lovely in readiness for Xmas. It was warm and comfy. Bed and pillows were good. The pool was nice and relaxing. Food was nice and a very good breakfast and staff friendly. We did have a lovely stay.
We ended up checking in twice and it didn’t seem easy to find the booking and took a while to confirm that we had already booked dinner so it seemed a little unorganised. Then after dinner, we were going to be charged again for the food but noticed luckily but a member of staff was very helpful in sorting that.

Fantastic views very clean food great
One of the reception staff did ask what our trip was for which really isnt any of there business but it was a stag do, one lady said we have to be respectful as we have high profile guests staying, I didn’t like that at all we are paying the same price so why does one get better treatment than others, fair to say we was in bed early and very quite I wonder how noisy the “high profile guest were” this for me really did annoy me, other than this one lady the staff are fantastic, breakfast staff absolutely amazing, if you have walking difficulties be aware the hotel is at the top of a steep hill
