A beautiful location, and the staff were friendly and helpful.

The only real downside is that it is the local watering hole and on Friday nights there is a DJ playing heavy music very very loud, until 11pm. And on Saturday nights there is live music, again very loud. Even with all the windows closed it is difficult to sleep, and then there’s turning out time. I must also mention that there are 2 floors, 33 stairs in total which could be challenging for the less mobile.

Good location on the waterfront at Gorey, right underneath the Castle, live entertainment on each weekend and very friendly staff, from reception to front of house in the bar and the amazing staff that run the restaurant on long hours. The food here is amazing, really good produce and changes daily will be back to sample more for sure. They have a good relationship with their guests and many come back time and time, staff remember these people and make them feel very much at home along with a new comer like myself. Had issues with the ferry on the return journey and a possible 24/48 hour delay. Reception staff amended my accommodation and sorted out late check out to coincide with the issues I was experiencing. Very professional and accommodating during a stressful time. I will definitely be back and cannot wait to see you all

There is nothing not to like really about the hotel, it’s super clean and tidy, the bathrooms in the rooms are nice and modern. only grumble which is not really a grumble is to update the rooms themselves. Get rid of the 1970s doors on the wardrobes and get rid of the wood chip paper in places. This is just personal preference and to match the modernness of the bathrooms. However this will not stop me from staying here again

Lovely comfortable and very clean bedroom overlooking the bay. Kettle and plenty of supplies of tea/coffee etc. Lovely restaurant, great choice of menu with very attentive staff Waiter service for a fabulous breakfast (cooked to order not a buffet style) Fantastic and very friendly staff - always smiling and very helpful Superb location in beautiful Gorey Fantastic bus service (bus stop just across the road)

Nothing to dislike

Breakfast and evening meals were really good, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was really good with a fantastic view from our room.

The room could get too hot at times but the weather was exceptionally hot. Don't book if you don't like the sound of a lively pub. The shower could do with some extra pressure by fitting a pump.

The location provides wonderful views across the bay and there is a bus stop for St. Helier nearby. Breakfast was table service and food was of a good standard. Overall a good place to stay for a short break.

Live music at the weekend in the bar below our room created a noisy atmosphere. However, it was all over before midnight, so not a problem unless you want to get to sleep early. There is no lift therefore access to the bedrooms could be difficult for anyone with restricted mobility.

Great location , nice clean room, the staff were really friendly and helpful and good fun , we were made really welcome. The table and bar service was really good. In my opinion this should be a three star not a two.

We had room 2 a sea view, the only downside is it can be very noisy.

Great location. Sun shone every day. Travel with buses and a hire car good. Loved the little roads. Google Maps handled directions well. Very friendly people. Two good dinners in hotel.

Two nights had very loud bands playing below our room. One was ok as we liked the tunes Second night was awful, tuneless, and excessively loud bass going right through the head.

All the staff were so helpful, very friendly and went out of their way to help and advise. The view over the harbour was quite spectacular, all of the food was of a high standard and cooked so well.

The only downside of the property was the lack of a lift to the upper floors.

The Dolphin, is a fabulous hotel to go to when exploring the beautiful island of Jersey. It was very comfortable and we had a double room overlooking the Marina. The staff are very friendly. The bed comfortable and really clean.

The shower wasn’t great

Breakfast and dinner were excellent with good choice including seafood and fish for dinner. Staff were all very friendly and helpful both in reception and bar and restaurant. The lady in reception went out of her way to get us a taxi to the airport which we really appreciated. The location is good as the hotel is on the sea front with views over the little harbour and it is close to the castle. There is a bus stop opposite the hotel which has frequent buses to St Helier all day and into the evening which was great for getting about elsewhere on the island.

There was nothing we didn’t like. Next time we might choose a sea view room but as we did not spend much time in our room it was not necessary.
