Hotel Lombardia in Florence offers a compelling blend of convenience and comfort, making it a great choice for travelers prioritizing location and value. The best part of Hotel Lombardia is undoubtedly its location. Situated just a quick 5-minute walk from Florence Station, it provides incredibly easy access for arrivals, departures, and exploring the city's main attractions on foot or via public transport. Our check-in process was smooth, and we found the rooms to be quite good – comfortable and well-maintained. Considering its prime location, the price offers good value compared to many nearby hotels.

However, there are a couple of points to be aware of. The breakfast options are somewhat limited, and the dining space is quite small. While we personally didn't have issues finding a place to sit, it's something to consider during peak times. A significant detail for potential guests is that the hotel does not have an elevator. This means stairs are the only option, which is an important consideration for anyone with mobility concerns or heavy luggage.

Staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast was a typical continental choice with sweet and savoury options. Hot drinks were freshly made. Location of hotel excellent - short walk to Florence centre (Cathedral) and in the opposite direction the railway station. Good choice of restaurants very close by, or a short walk into the centre. Good sized room with minibar and kettle, etc, as advertised.

Full length window into the shower area of the bathroom meant that at night, if using the bathroom, the bedroom was lit up disturbing my partner. No carpet on the upper bedroom floors made the stairs very noisy at night. The bathroom would benefit from shelving on which to place toiletries and hooks for towels near shower.

The room was very confortable, nice and clean. I appreciated very much the ausence of noises. The personal was really nice, especially the person atending the breakfast room. IT was a wonderful surprise that there were many gluten free options. Love it!

There is not lift, so you have to go up all those steps to your room at leats a couple of times a day and with your luggage. It is not for old people or pleople with leg disability.

Nice and renovated room and Bathroom. Best experience I had in all my bookings in Europe. The staff texted ahead of our booking to know what time we were gonna arrive, left our luggage in the hotel as we arrived in the morning. They texted us when our room was ready (earlier than normal check in time) and took our luggage to our room by the time we arrived, amazing service, really close to the main train station and easy to walk to the main attractions. Breakfast was delicious, with heaps of options, 100% recommended

Very convenient for Florence Santa Maria Novella train station. An easy walk to the duomo area. Hotel volunteered to look after our cases. Kettle and fridge in room.

The water in the shower was very hot and difficult to adjust without it going too cold. Not a problem for us but some people might struggle with the stairs especially if allocated a room on the third or fourth floor.

Location and price are great. The staff was great. Very helpful and accommodating of my not knowing the Italian language. Very helpful with recommendations and directions around town. The breakfast had premium coffee and a nice continental spread.

The hotel made it clear there was no elevator, but it was a challenge getting heavy bags up the four flights of stairs. Not a dealbreaker, but be prepared. The shower is poorly designed and leaks in the floor with normal use. The bed is not the most comfy, but fine. There are blemishes, the AC works but not well, broken floor tiles, etc. - it is old and needs a little TLC. This is not a luxury hotel by any means, but is safe and comfortable.

Both receptionists were very pleasant, proactive in information/assistance and accommodating, too. I do not remember requesting a quiet room but I certainly got one. I loved the shower, unusual design. It was very clean, which is what I mostly look for when booking a hotel room. Breakfast was excellent in terms of quality and options, the coffee superb. Lady very friendly and indeed hard working!

The toilet lid was loose/wonky and I forgot to mention it to the team. It took a while for me to get the shower at the right temperature, wasting a lot of water in the process, which l hate. At times too hot in the room, even though I did try to lower the thermostat; I did follow the minus arrow.

The hotel was just 2 minutes away from the train station. It was clean and well organised with all necessary amenities. No false information is advertised on the booking page. The hotel management is available day and night through their WhatsApp and are extremely kind and supportive.

The hotel did not have a lift, which is not a problem if you don't have luggage, but if you do and you have bad knees, it will give you a lot of problems especially if you get a higher floor.

The location is perfect, the hotel is just 2 minutes from the train station. The room are not big, but everything is in and it is enough place. The bed is comfortable. The breakfast is not very rich, but with eggs, ham, cheese, pastries and any coffee you want.

It is not an elevator in the hotel. If you have heavy luggage, it could be challenging.
