Clean room, comfortable bed, good shower. Nice breakfast. Good value for money.

Minor issue in the room was dealt with immediately,.thank you. Some quiet music in the breakfast room would make the breakfast experience better.

Great location, 3 min from the seaside. Quite, not on main street. 10 min walk from rail staition. Hotel is clean, and it probably was refurbished a while ago.... There is a lift, even stairs lift. Clean towels on arrivel, normal matrasses,hair dryer, kettle and tea coffee in the room. Big bright triple room. Simple basic ,but freshly cooked breakfast But HOUSEKEEPING service in room while staying is disaster. Removing only garbage in the room, not in the toilet. No towels change, neither toilet nor sink were cleaned for 3 days.

Cleaness of room while staying!!! Nowhere was posted that they don't change towels for 3 days, if you drop them on the floor you will find them back hanging on hooks..... no comments. Toilet and sink were not cleaned during 3 days.

We booked this hotel for three nights to see the Eastbourne Air Show. The location is perfect for this, being just a few minutes level walk to the seafront, it is also a simple 15 minute walk to the station and the shopping centre. Before arrival, I was concerned about parking, particularly because this is probably the busiest weekend of the year. Outside the front of the hotel is a loading bay where you can park up to half an hour during the restricted period. The hotel will provide parking permits, one day at a time which you can buy in advance, they are very cheap. Within fifteen minutes, a space became available a few yards down the road which we used for the duration of our stay. I believe this is a family run hotel, the staff were exceptionally agreeable and helpful. Also within a few minutes walk is a street filled with restaurants and bars which was mighty handy.....the Italian and Thai restaurants in particular were well worth a visit.

The only thing we really missed was a fan in the room as the weather was warm overnight. Our room was very nice, the only issue was a broken shower holder, but nonetheless, it worked, the water was immediately hot and had good pressure.

I liked everything about my room at the hotel! It was extraordinarily good value for money: spacious, comfortable, well-appointed, clean and attractive. I don't think I've ever had a better room at such an affordable price. The staff were helpful and responsive, particularly Ajmal and Wajiha, who demonstrated such patience and positivity when I, er, mislaid my key. Nothing! All our questions and concerns were met with prompt and courteous responses.

The staff here were friendly and greeted us when we walked in and it was great value for money. The beds were comfortable and the carpet looked new. We could make a coffee in the room and it was spacious. It's an older hotel so it's not going to be the same as the View. But then View is three times the price. And I like older buildings. We didn't have breakfast so I can't comment. But overall I was very satisfied and came back the day after for another night because my work was extended a day.

It takes a little while for the water to run cold at the sink, but really I can't think of anything else negative. Perhaps just remind guests that they get a room key and a front door key when there is no one on reception in the middle of the night. At first I wondered how to get back in after I had to leave for a short time in the night, then realised I could open the door with my extra key.

There were two double beds in the room, a bonus! There was plenty of room to move around even if my disabled friend had been in a wheelchair. The cooked breakfast was not from a buffet but freshly cooked so the plates were very hot on Saturday when they arrived-less so on Sunday! However, all the food was good. One tiny point-we commented on the first day about the wash handbasin not holding water as the catch to release the plug was broken. Unfortunately,a part had to be bought so it could not be repaired till the day after we left(Sunday!) The staff were most apologetic but it meant I could not keep my water cool! The fan in the bathroom kept going for sometime after the light/shower was switched off but, at least,that kept the bathroom cool! It seemed that many family members worked at the hotel,giving it a nice feel.

We had an excellent short stay at the New Wilmington Hotel. We had a deluxe room which had recently been refurbished. It fully met our expectations. The owners were friendly and welcoming. Parking was on the street outside the hotel with a special daily permit from the Council (issued by the hotel) for only £2.35. The well maintained sea front is only a few minutes walk. Ideally located for both the town centre facilities and walks towards Beachy Head. Breakfast was a standard English format; freshly prepared and good value.

While it did not affect us, our room was not fully accessible by the lift. This information should be available at the time of booking so that those with mobility problems can ensure that they have no problems. (it may be on the booking website and I just missed it)

The hotel is very close to the beach, 5 minutes walking distance. The receptionist is very nice and kind. They offered me the opportunity to park in front of their hotel for free for two days, as the parking belongs to the hotel, labelled 'loading only'. If their front is fully parked, you can drive to 'Jevington Gardens' road for parking, a small charge for one day. To be honest, the facilities of this hotel are a little old but clean. I booked one family room, and that room is big and bright, west-facing, with sunshine in the afternoon. Daytime, I can hear the Seagull sound. In the evening, it is quiet but sometimes I can hear the sound from the corridor if they make too loud noise. Overall, I am happy with this hotel for family trip to Eastbourne.

Overall, the breakfast is ok, with a full English breakfast, some cereal and yogurt options, and juices. I think they can do even better if they can offer more breakfast options, e.g. cake and snacks.

The hotel room was lovely, we had paid for a bigger bed/room and were not disappointed! The decor was lovely, very modern (more modern than the outside/lobby) and clean. Bathroom and shower very nice, twin basins were a plus! We didn't have breakfast and the only downside was breakfast was between 8am-9am which is feel is a smaller time window than we would expect and finished earlier than we would have liked. The location was perfect for us, really close to the seafront and could buy a permit for parking from the hotel for £2.35 a day which was great.

Breakfast time to be extended.

It was priced reasonably and was perfectly placed for visiting the Eastbourne tennis tournament. You can purchase a parking permit from reception and this will allow you to park in any free space within a designated zone (ours was ‘H’, just around the corner, until 11am the next day). We didn’t have breakfast so can’t comment on that, but found the bed in our room to be super comfy and the hotel staff were friendly and helpful. We will return again in the future.
