The first day the breakfast was poor, this was because there was not enough staff working. There was no cutlery, ran out of plates, butter, scrambled egg, tomatoes. The staff that were working were excellent, this is a Management Issue

More staff The poor receptionist was booking people in, bar work, clearing and clearing tables..she was run off her feet When we first arrived, we were shown a room, with.a double bed and a sofa bed! We booked a twin.room, we we're not happy and the staff moved us.

Breakfast was good. First day lack of plates and cutlery but as soon as we asked a member of staff, they went to get them. We arrived down for 9am and the cereals bowls were empty but again as soon as we asked they did refill. The room was in a good location.

First and foremost, the staff! I was made to feel exceptionally welcome. They went out of their way to make sure everything went smoothly. The room itself was clean and comfortable with a nice view, and there was a friendly atmosphere throughout

Very clean hotel with comfortable room. Food was very good. All staff were excellent, were polite, friendly and did everything to make our stay good.

It was busy but breakfast was a bit chaotic, food running out quickly and some things took quite a while to be replaced. No jam/marmalade for toast.

Great, friendly staff. Breakfast was very nice, just not enough staff to keep it stocked up and the restaurant tidy, but the staff did their best.

The location was very good. The bar staff and breakfast staff were lovely, helpful and friendly. The bed was comfy and the room clean.

Being woken up at 2 a.m. by the fire alarm, which I am assuming was faulty as there was no fire. Nobody actually informed us what was going on whilst we waited outside. Then being woken up again by the fire alarm going on and off several times around 6 a.m. It would have been nice to have had a room overlooking the water but we got the car park. I will make sure I request this and a bath, if I stay there again. The room was very warm even without any heating on.

We requested a double room but knew beforehand that this could not be guaranteed so not a problem at all. Very good value for money and the breakfast was very good for the price. Very clean, and very friendly staff. Could not fault it.

Nothing really. The lift was out of service but nobody’s fault and they were waiting for it to be repaired. They did apologise for this a couple of times. It didn’t bother us but I suppose other people might have struggled. Although given the friendliness of the staff, I am sure they would help out where necessary.

Easy walk from Cardiff central station and within walking distance of Cardiff bay. Close to a small local shop. Lovely view over East dock lake. Good size comfortable beds and plenty of pillows and towels. I was able to order pizza at the bar to take up to my room late at night. Staff are friendly and helpful and breakfast was included.

Breakfast was a little busy and the area immediately around the lake has very little in the way of shops/bars. But this is not the fault of the hotel and it's not too far to walk to find entertainment.

Lady that helped us during breakfast went above and beyond especially helping serving our severely disabled son.

On arrival one staff member was really good and welcomed us especially the children, the staff member was extremely sharp and rude when asking if we could us cash. I later read it's a card only site, shame when I was going on holiday and withdrawn the cash ready. But she was rude about it, even the other staff members looked embarrassed.
