Breakfast was good. First day lack of plates and cutlery but as soon as we asked a member of staff, they went to get them. We arrived down for 9am and the cereals bowls were empty but again as soon as we asked they did refill. The room was in a good location.

First and foremost, the staff! I was made to feel exceptionally welcome. They went out of their way to make sure everything went smoothly. The room itself was clean and comfortable with a nice view, and there was a friendly atmosphere throughout

It was busy but breakfast was a bit chaotic, food running out quickly and some things took quite a while to be replaced. No jam/marmalade for toast.

Easy walk from Cardiff central station and within walking distance of Cardiff bay. Close to a small local shop. Lovely view over East dock lake. Good size comfortable beds and plenty of pillows and towels. I was able to order pizza at the bar to take up to my room late at night. Staff are friendly and helpful and breakfast was included.
Breakfast was a little busy and the area immediately around the lake has very little in the way of shops/bars. But this is not the fault of the hotel and it's not too far to walk to find entertainment.

Nice situation near open water. It was efficient and professional. Good range of breakfast options. Quite close to station and opera. Clean and bright, modern and new. Good door entry card, easy to use.
During the night there was noise from something on the roof. Extractor fans? Heating system? Ghosts?. The whirring and humming noises woke me up in the small hours even though I was using ear-plugs.. If you can, go on the lower floors.

Parking facility was good. Breakfast not excellent but was good enough. Staff was very kind and helpful. They have a good bar with reasonable prices.
In booking.com it says “1,2 km from city center”, but it is not. It’s closer to Bay area which is also an attractive part of the city. We should estimate the location by the hotel name, this was our mistake.

Pillows not very comfortable and the toilet was very low in the room. Very awkward for bad backs.
